Calamity He kissed her hair and grinned.

Virginia appeared, running towards them with an armful of weapons. She was laughing when she literally ran into August and Wescott.

Calamity "Okay," he said. Wescott watched her walk away until she was out of view before turning to Virginia.

"You really care about her, don't you?" Virginia said. The usual mischievous twinkle in her eye was gone as she watched Wescott thoughtfully.

"Yes," he said softly.

"Yes, of course," said Wescott. "But, Ginger, she is amazing. If you knew her better you would like her. She may not be as mischievous you or me all the time, but she is smart, funny, and beautiful."

"And she doesn't like me," said Virginia.

"She does," said Wescott with a smile. "Just get to know her first and we can all have fun."

She sighed. "Okay then," said Virginia.

Calamity Emery walked on the paths with Ellie beside him. He smiled a little at the sight of the blue sky, the grass, the flowers, and the thick cluster of trees in the distance. These scenery brought back memories of his mortal girlfriend Laurel since he had few beautiful, serene moments with his family. He was quiet for a while as he took everything in.

message 2279: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Upon seeing the flowers, Emery bent down to pick a few flowers. Smiling, he offered them to her. "They kind of remind of me of home," he said, nostalgically. He chuckled. "Of course, home was never sweet-smelling and pretty," he said. "Everyone cared about practicality rather than warmth." This brought back memories of his intensive training as he grew up.

message 2280: by Calamity (last edited Sep 17, 2015 05:33AM) (new)

Calamity Emery smiled. "I think I can imagine that," he said, picking a daisy and tucking it behind her ear. His smile grew wider. After a moment, he remembered that his fingers were still on her cheek. "Oh, sorry," he said apologetically as he removed his fingers.

message 2281: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery smiled a little before they started to walk again. "What exactly was home like for you?" He asked curiously. Many demigods lived tragic lives, but he preferred to listen to other people's stories because his were full of military training and the occasional party or prank he attended or shared with his brother.

message 2282: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery looked at her with concerned, hazel eyes. In the sunlight, flecks of green could be seen in them. He placed an arm her shoulders. "I'm sorry," he said, sincerely. With his other hand, he wiped away the tear gently.

message 2283: by Calamity (new)

Calamity His gaze wandered a little. "Intense military training almost all the time," he said. "I attended a couple of military boarding schools. Most of the time, I spent little time at home. My family expects my brother and me to excel in combat and it's hard to live up to their expectations. My mother and her twin sister exceeded those expectations, so my family expects more from Ivory, my cousin Roxanne and me." He looked back at her with a brightened expression. "Have you met my cousin Roxanne?"

message 2284: by Calamity (last edited Sep 17, 2015 06:56AM) (new)

Calamity Emery chuckled. "An amazing friend like you," he said, amused. "You think pretty highly of yourself, I see." He smirked a little.

message 2285: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery grinned at her and looked away a little as if mischievously considering this. "Maybe," he said, smirking at her.

message 2286: by Calamity (new)

Calamity He laughed in response before tackling her to the ground and pinning her. "Now what do you have to say for yourself?" He said, grinning. He suddenly realized how close his face was to hers. After a moment, he started to blush a little.

message 2287: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery laughed, trying to cover up his embarrassment. "Disgusting," he complained, still laughing as he stood up. He wiped the saliva off his cheek.

message 2288: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery blushed a little at the feel of her fingers on his cheek. "Thanks," he mumbled. His cheek tingled from her touch.

message 2289: by Calamity (new)

Calamity "Must be the sun," he said, lying as he squinted up at the bright sun.

message 2290: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery followed her, unsure whether he ought to laugh or be concerned. Instead of choosing either, he continued, walking in silence and trying to remember he had someone back at home.

message 2291: by Calamity (last edited Sep 17, 2015 08:35AM) (new)

Calamity (On the paths? Maybe if they head into the forest.)

Emery looked up at Ellie, a little surprised by her words. "Laurel?" he asked, a little bewildered. "What do you want to know about her?" Quite honestly, he did not actually want to bring his girlfriend from home onto the walk with them.

message 2292: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery nodded and pursed his lips, trying to recall her appearance. "Long, dark hair, warm, spring green eyes..." he said softly. His expression grew gentler as he described her. "Fair skin... Beautiful smile that lit up her entire face..." He smiled as he recalled her laugh.

message 2293: by Calamity (new)

Calamity Emery blinked, bringing himself back to the present. "Are you angry with me?" He asked, trying to speed up his pace to walk beside her.

message 2294: by Calamity (new)

Calamity "Alright," he said, not quite believing her. He decided not to question her further as he followed her into the forest.

Calamity Violet led Tessa onto the paths. She gestured to the different cabins. "As you already know, those are the cabins," she said. As they walked, she pointed out the volleyball court, the basketball court, and the showers.

Calamity Violet's expression lit up. "I love the creek. The water is so full of life. The sunlight is not too bright and the breeze feels wonderful," she gushed. "It reminds me of home."
