((Just so you know, Ona is his bird friend.))

This was the first thing Dana realized only seconds after she opened her eyes in the morning. Her head ached when she moved, and she remembered absolutely nothing from the previous night. At least she wasn't naked which she considered a good sign. While looking for her phone in the clutch that was left on the ground, she tried to remember what had happened the night before. She went to the party that was hosted by the Aphrodite cabin, had a few supposedly non-alcoholic drinks with a friend and that was all she could recall from the evening.

When the boy talked, her brain felt as if it were pounding harshly against her skull and slowly; agonizingly splitting it apart. “Whisper, if you please.” She hissed, clutching her head and closing her sensitive eyes to aviod the pain that came with them catching the light. “As for your question I'll get back to you on that, once I find out how and why I even came here of all places.” She wondered why he had woken so early in the morning, since he clearly had been running for a while due to his clothing having large dark patches - of sweat no doubt.

Although the brutal headache was still present, she was able to focus her sight more on her surroundings and boy in front of her, taking in the smallest of details. The virescent hue of her hazel eyes became prominent as they registered the greenery and contrasted with her dark mane. “Who's kid are you? You have that familiar tone of voice that the darkness' children normally share.”

Many rumors of the children belonging to the Titans had circulated the camp for several years since they had emerged, straying the other campers away from contact to those with that hierarchy. Despite hearing less than half of them, Dana remained unaffected by his words. Instead of acting shocked, wary, or even apprehensive like she had seen countless of other demigods react to another's deity parent, she opted between leaning against the tree or taking a seat on the rock behind her that was beside it. She decided on the latter and carefully sat on the scorching surface of the rock. “Tell me, how do they normally react to you - or your parentage more like it?” She brought up her long legs to her chest and rested her crossed arms on it, and placed her head on them.

((Been awhile eh?))

Silence ensued after her words, her attention focused more on finding him. Her senses were on high alert, intently listening and scanning their surroundings, fully aware that he was near. Having been by his side since he was a hatchling, they both developed telepathic bond much like Grover and Percy. “Stay here, he doesn't take strangers too kindly if they're near me.” she held out her palm to him as the mental buzzing grew stronger, her eyes flashing as it intensified.

Flicking its tongue out, he emerged his head from where he had been concealed by the large boulders, amber eyes glinting coldly as he scanned the area where Dana and boy stood. “Why have you brought him?” He rumbled, stepping further out and hovering protectively over her as he continued to assess the boy.

He just nodded at that instruction, thinking it best to follow her advice as he didn't feel a fight was what she wanted to see. "Because I helped her, here" he said with a scoop, flipping the chunk of silver to the rather temperamental dragon even though he was Dana's friend. His scowl said he didn't like the dragon's tone either and was here just to continue talking with Dana.

The aenous scales of his genetically armored body seemed to close in on each other tightly reflexively. A hostile look spread across his sharp features before it passed as quickly as it came. A small demigod of such heritage can't inflict major harm on him, but Dana was another story. His heightened senses permitted him to be able to see the aura each demigod possessed that revealed who was their deity parent. Mauro silently took the two metal blocks in his mouth, their sizes compared to him being drastic and made them appear like bread crumbs. “How?” He demanded, eyes narrowed. The steely look in his gaze however softened when he felt the familiar sensation of his scales being pulled gently.
••••
The effect of her tugging the sensitive side scales was immediate, noticing how the tension in Mauro's body melted. “Forgive him,” she shot a sheepish smile at the demigod. “He clearly isn't used to newcomers.” A glare was directed at the dragon as she said it, making him silently growl in annoyance. She retracted herself from her protective friend and sauntered toward Nathaniel. “Come, this isn't what I want to show you.” With a moment of hesitation, she grasped his hand.
