Giving up on her hair, Mist stopped her a moment, looking around to see if anyone else was out. She didn't see many people, but there was one guy who had some ear buds in, probably listening to music while he ran. She watched him, stepping off to the side of the path so he wouldn't trample her if he passed.. Hopefully. Mist wasn't known for having good luck, exactly. As far as she was aware, every demigod had sucky luck. Except for children of Tyche.

Ma'am? Mist couldn't help but smile slightly. "Do I look like I'm hurt? The answer is no, so yes, I'm fine. Are you? I assume so since you're still standing on two feet and aren't complaining about any injuries."
"Glad so." Mist's smile grew a little more visible as she held out her hand and introduced herself. "I'm Mist."
"Back at ya," Mist replied, taking her hand back after a moment. "So, Hecate, huh? That's pretty cool."
"Am I cool? I like to think so," Mist laughed, grinning. "But if you meant who is my parent, the answer is Poseidon."
Accepting his hand, Mist told him, "Thanks," as she stood up. She shooed a lady bug off of her arm before returning her attention to Lance. "So, how long have you been running? Today, that is."
A look of surprise crossed over Mist's features. "Seriously?" She asked. "You've been running that long? Have you taken any breaks?"
Mist rolled her eyes, but she was smiling slightly. "Alright, how about besides this one with me?"
Her green eyes widening, Mist stared at him. "And you haven't passed out? Or pulled a muscle? Or anything? Really?"
"I can tell." Mist put her hands in her pockets, studying him. He was taller than her, probably older. "I assume you enjoy it?"
Yet, you nearly ran straight into me, Mist thought, arching a brow, just slightly, but she kept what she was thinking to herself. "So that's a yes, I guess?"
Mist jumped slightly when she heard him in her mind. She narrowed her eyes, watching him cautiously. You're in my head? She thought, testing it.
Remaining quiet, Mist didn't answer. Had she imaged his voice in her head? Ugh, that'd be creepy. She hoped she hadn't, but at the same time.. Maybe she had. "Nothing," she finally muttered, looking away.

Startled yet again, Mist really did jump this time, two feet away from Lance. "Stop that!" She snapped, glaring, not bothering to question whether or not he could hear her thoughts or not.
"Yeah, well, I'm a person, not people," Mist retorted. She crossed her arms over her chest, still scowling. "I, for one, don't like people listening to my thoughts. So, I'll put this as nicely as I can. Stop it."
Mist nodded curtly. She still wasn't very pleased, but didn't look as peeved. Mostly annoyed. "Thank you, Lance."
((Ganna? XD ))
She watched, keeping her arms crossed. Maybe she'd been a little.. snippy. But still! He'd been in her head, something that Mist felt was a little rude, like he was invading her privacy. But she still sighed and muttered, "Sorry if I was harsh."

Mist was quiet a moment, then sighed once more and nodded. "Yeah, sure," she answered, moving to stand beside him.

Dang, this guy was fast. He was seriously a son of Hecate and not some magical running god? Mist struggled to keep, but didn't push herself too hard. It wasn't like this was a race.
Realizing that he purposely wasn't leaving her in the dust, she laughed slightly. "Go ahead and run, bud."
And to imagine that he'd said that he runs so he could get away from people for a bit just minutes ago. Mist smiled, continuing her steady pace.
((Gotcha.))
Mist considered that. "I guess I can understand that," she told him, glancing over before putting her gaze back onto the path.
