hope this is a caching issue - re combining then disappearing ratings/reviews

So, I combined 2 editions, one of which was blank so I then deleted it and the librarian change log says 8 reviews were merged

but I went back to the book

Heavy Rotation: Twenty Writers on the Albums That Changed Their Lives

and it shows only the 1 rating/review that was present originally with this edition.

Is this a caching issue? If so, I've never noticed a delay before with other books I've edited. If not, is there any way to get back those 8 ratings? Oy!

Try going back into the edit page and refreshing the date. The link is on the right side down a ways. That might work.

Oh gosh, I did that - thank you Eva. I came back because I figured it out, I think. Most people have it shelved on their to-read shelf so that's why only 1 rating/review. I think that nobody got it knocked off their shelves. Breathing a sigh of relief!

It's scary to think you messed something up! I've been there before!
I like thatrefresh feature though- I've used it because sometimes the listing will show a negative rating and then it will correct after the refresh. :)

Eva, Well, I've messed things up before but actually this time I knew that I hadn't; I was afraid it was a Goodreads caused problem.
