Elizabeth (Alaska) I have combined many times. However, how do you combine an edition that is on one page with editions on another page?

One idea I had was to (temporarily) change the title of the book to be combined so that it would be on the same page as the editions with which it is to be combined. But that didn't feel right.

Poe's Tales Of Mystery And Imagination
with
Tales of Mystery and Imagination

Ren | 688 comments Done. For future reference, there's a box at the top that says "filter works by keyword". In this case I used "tales of mystery and imagination" as a filter and only the relevant books showed up. :)

Elizabeth (Alaska) Thanks very much, Ren. I knew there had to be a way to do it!

Jacques | 15 comments Can I suggest to combine these two books since they are the same?

By the way, is that the correct way to report these issues?

message 8: by Ren (new)

Ren | 688 comments Jacques, done. Yes, this is the correct way. (If you're in doubt about which thread to post in, just make a new one.)

Mark James | 2 comments Can these two entries be combined? They are the same book.

and

Also, can a librarian please change the following:

Book lists two awards: 2013 London Book Review (Honorable Mention) and

2013 London Book Festival (Honorable Mention)

The correct listing should reflect: 2013 London Book Festival (Honorable Mention)

Thank you very much.

Ine | 263 comments I've combined the two entries (one was attributed to Mark^James with one space, you're Mark^^^^James with four spaces)

However, I don't seem to be able to remove awards, only edit them. Can a superlibrarian look at this?

Monika (thewarriorofthedarkness) | 117 comments Idek im not a superlibrarian but i managed to remove that 'London Book Review' award

Monika (thewarriorofthedarkness) | 117 comments Idek check if there is a 'delete an award' link when you press edit for some awards.

(should be somewhere underneath the edit options)

It the editions are in different language I temporary edit one of the editions to have a common part of the title.

This thread was meant to be a discussion of specific policy, not a general please combine thread. We have several of those.
