It depends on the story and the scene I happen to be writing. My book is set in an alternate medieval world, so I listen to stuff like Clannad, harp music, etc. For fight scenes (and mine involve swords!), nothing beats a bit of Metallica to get the blood pumping and the words flowing. :)
Classic music for me. I uses Pandora for my music when writing. I find that different, new music stimulate my mind.
I don't listen to music all the time when I write because it could be distracting. But when I do, I listen to instrumental or calming playlist unless I'm writing an action scene. I love listening to the Divergent and Catching Fire soundtrack and score.

If you search up "Epic soundtracks" or "Greatest movie soundtracks", a lot of great videos show up. There's even a whole channel "Pandora music playlist" (forget its name but it was something along those lines) that is dedicated to soundtrack videos.
