After discovering that there was practically no one even at the beach, Winifred Robins left the life guard stand to walk around the beach for a bit, maybe even go for a swim. She wore her red and white Lifeguard bathing suit and a whistle around her neck, even though red was definitely not her favorite color. She preferred the blues of the ocean, not bold colors that stood out. Finally, Winnie found a nice little spot to set down her shoulder bag and lay out her towel. Days like these were nice because she could just enjoy the beach without having to be constantly alert.

Winnie sat down on her towel and pulled out her iPod from her bag, along with her little mini speaker. She couldn't just put on headphones when she was on duty, even if there was no one here. With a swipes and button presses on both devices, Gravity by Sara Bareilles began to play softly. This might be what Winnie danced to in her audition tape for NYU, so she listenend to it all the time, going over choreography in her head and counted out rhythms.

While the music played, melodies drifting in the back of her mind, Winnie laid back on her elbows, soaking in the sun. She wondered what her mother was up to right now. Had she already gone into work? Winnie sighed, as she was always worrying about her mom's well being. She tried to focus on the song, though, pushing troubles out of her mind.

Point. Focus. Click.

Cameron angled his camera to the side, taking yet another round of pictures. The camera rested in his hands perfectly like it was a predestined pair. Ever since he had asked for the camera, on his birthday, he was practically devoted to it. Cameron just couldn't get over how it was able to focus on the smallest detail, or create such a perfect picture of something. It was almost magical in his opinion how a moment in time could be caught and placed to be relished again and again.

Currently, he was having trouble capturing the waves hit the beach. Whether it was timing, angle, or some other problem, he just could not be satisfied. With small steps, he lowered himself to his knees, attempting to get a different view. Lucky for him, no one seemed to be on the beach. He turned his lightly tanned face down to view the recently took photos, only to let out a disappointed sigh. None had turned out like he wanted. He ran his left hand through his hair, taking a moment to lean back on his heels at look out over the ocean. Yes, pictures were good, but the real thing was always better. This, he had to admit to himself.

When Winnie first heard the clicking sounds, she thought she was just imagining it. Maybe she had gotten water in her ear or something. So, she turned up the volume on her music, changing it to Coldplay. Winnie knew she needed to just relax, without worrying about school or her mom. So, it was better if she listened to something that wasn't an audition piece. Nevertheless, Winifred couldn't help but dissect the piece of music, trying to figure out exactly how it was put together. It was amazing the way music could manipulate people so much, making them feel things they didn't always want to feel. Winnie felt that dancing could do the same thing. Whenever it was just her and the music she went into another world.

It was within the first few measures of the song that Winnie heard another clicking sound, a lot fainter, but still there. That's it, you're going crazy, she thought to herself. After turning off her speaker completely she was able to detect where the sound was coming from. A lone man with a camera was not too far down the shore from her, which made her feel a bit odd because they were the only two people there. "Are you a photographer?" She finally called out, deciding that maybe a conversation would be nice. They weren't so far away that she had to yell, but Winnie still had to project her voice a little way. "Or is it just a hobby?" She was forced to blow a stray lock of blonde hair away from her face.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe if he ignores the voice, it will go away? Cameron laughed at that assumption, deciding that it was probably rude and would make it even more awkward if he pretended she wasn't there. Where even was she? Was it a she? Slowly, he turned his head to see the voice of the speaker. It was a girl. He noted this, taking a bit more interest in the conversation. She seemed to be a lifeguard too? This he assumed from her red swim suit and whistle hanging around her neck. Realizing that he hadn't answered yet, he finally spoke up.

"It's mostly a hobby, but I occasionally get some money out of it." His voice, lower than most people expected and smooth, came out quieter than he wanted. Taking some strides towards her so conversation was easy, he clung to his camera and repeated his phrase. Up close, he could see that she was fair and well, beautiful. The way her blonde hair shaped her face and created a significant contrast was nothing less than mystifying. He brushed these thoughts aside and decided to add to the conversation. "Are you interested in photography?" It was always a pleasant surprise, finding another who enjoyed it as he did.

Stellarum{•Daughter of Hecate•} | 134 comments Mod
Not really expecting to have an actual conversation, Winnie was surprised when the man moved closer to her. Of course, she did not hear him when he first spoke so that was probably for the best. She hadn't mentally prepared to talk to anyone today an had assumed that they would just exchange a few pleasantries to make it less awkward for them both, and then they could just be on their way. Winnie found it kind of refreshing that this wasn't the case, for she found people fascinating. She could only handle one human being at a time, though.

"I've always thought it was fascinating how people did it." She said, and it was apparent that Winnie had a genuine interest in the topic at hand. As she spoke, she studied the male stranger, and found that his eyes were...suprisingly blue and quite...captivating? She blinked, re-focusing. Then, sitting up and pulling her knees to her chest, Winnie threw a glance out to the ocean. It really was beautiful out today. "Being able to just keep memories like that must be pretty cool." She shook her head, a small smile on her face. "I was never any good at it, though. I'm Winnie, by the way." She introduced herself. "And no, not as in Winnie the Pooh."

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

"There is nothing like it." Cameron's face brightened up, excited to finally meet someone who understood. Or at least, understood to a degree. It was always hard to have Carter and Macey around, who definitely had little appreciation for photography. He gripped the camera in his hands, nonchalantly flicking switches on it. This girl was probably the first to ask questions about it. Which wasn't a bad thing. Definitely not a bad thing. Cameron just didn't know how to move the conversation along.

Winnie. It was kind of an adorable name, he had to admit. It fit her, probably because of her eyes betraying the innocent and gentle nature she seemed to have. He laughed a bit at the Winnie the pooh part, actually glad that was cleared up. "Where you named after anything?" He asked slowly, generally curious about how that name was chosen. "I'm Cameron." He added quickly to the end, almost gushing it out. Not sure whether to move closer, move back, stay there, sit down or even what to do at all, he tapped his left foot against the sand, a nervous action he seemed to always partake in.

"Cameron the camera man?" Winnie couldn't help but smile. "Nice. You should get that on a t-shirt." She added, good natured as always. Winnie was tapping her fingers softly against her knee to the tune of the last song she was listening to. Being constantly around music, Winnie couldn't help going through songs in her mind at all times. She paid attention to Cameron, though, as she was a good listener from consolting her mother often. Winnie jad always been fairly good with people, though she normally didn't start conversations.

It never failed. Every year for her birthday or Christmas, someone would get her Winnie the Pooh merchandise. The joke had gotten old, but Winifred still found it a little endearing when she looked at old stuffed animals her brothers had gotten her. "Actually, it's short for Winifred, my grandmother's name." It was kind of embarrassing, as it wasn't a conventional modern name. Plus, her brother numerous people in her family called her Fred or Fredster. However, Winifred was also the name of the heroine from her favorite book as a child: Tuck Everlasting. "You can come sit down with me, if you want..." Winnie wondered for the moment if she had interupted him. Maybe he was busy, had places to be...

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Cameron half laughed, shaking his head slowly. "It is a bit ironic, don't you think?" The words were coming smoother now and he felt a bit more comfortable with this girl. It helped that she seemed particularly pleasant and not up tight. Unlike most of the people here. The bitter thought was the truth. As much as he loved this place, the people were, well, less than desirable. Of course there were a few gems in the crowd. He might even be looking at one of them. Which was a bold thought, considering he had only exchanged a few sentences with her.

Glancing down at his phone, Cameron realized he had to head back soon. Ignoring this, he took the rash decision of sitting down beside her. Attempting to not trip and fall on top of her, he kind of plopped down. Well no one had ever called him graceful for good reason. "That's kind of exotic." He pointed out, a warm smile resting on his features. Pulling off his camera, he set it beside him. "What are you listening too?" He asked next, trying to guess, without much luck.

Stellarum{•Daughter of Hecate•} | 134 comments Mod
Winnie let out a small laugh. She was honestly happy to have the company. As much as she loved to be alone, Winifred's thoughts grew out of hand when she spent too much time by herself. Back in Indiana, she had been the popular girl. Now, she only had a couple good friends. She actually liked it that way. "By exotic, you mean English?" She smiled. "It's an old name from the colonial days." Winnie let out a soft sigh. "My brothers got old names, too, though." Like Elijah, who was the closest to her age.

Only then did Winnie realize that her music was still playing softly in the background. "Oh, um..." She listened for a second. "Yellow, by Coldplay." She answered when she realized what song was on now. "I like softer music." Winnie didn't like anything loud and angry sounding. It made her fairly uneasy. She seemed very calm now, though. Then, she was able to register why Cameron might have checked his phone, but he sat down nevertheless. He looked like the type of person Winnie that was semi-intelligent, which was refreshing. Winnie was so tired of these bimbos that hung around the beach...

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

"England is a bit exotic." He pointed out, a small grin erupting on his face. After a little pause he spoke again, correcting his last words. "Well, to me at least. I'm just from Chicago." He was curious whether she was really from England or if her family just fancied English names, but he figured she would provide that information if necessary. Cameron spread out his legs in front of him, letting them stretch from the crouch he had been in during the pictures.

Cameron listened to the music for a second, trying to decide if he had heard it before. He concluded he hadn't, and began to listen more closely. It was a good song, though not exactly his favorite type of music. He could appreciate its gentle tones though, didn't everyone love a good slow song? "I like this song." He murmured, leaning back a bit, relaxing into the sand. "Who is your favorite artist?" He asked randomly, turning to see her reply.

Stellarum{•Daughter of Hecate•} | 134 comments Mod
"Yes, very exotic." Winnie couldn't help but laugh at his comment, already becoming more comfortable around him. "You're from Chicago? As in, Illinois?" A light came to Winnie's eyes as she said it. "No way! I'm from Indiana. I literally lived about a hundred and fifty miles from Chicago." She had only been there once, though, back when her father was convinced she was going to be a championship basketball player. Boy, was that a terrible assumption, considering how terrible Winnie was at sports. They had went there for some regional tournament for elementary school girls, but luckily, Winifred got really sick and couldn't compete. So her mom took her to the ballet instead, which was much, much better.

Winnie then smiled when he said that he liked the song. Her brother's never cared for quiet, soft music, preferring rock or rap which was certainly not Winnie's style. "That's not a hard question at all." She replied sarcastically. As much music as she listened to, Winnie didn't know if she even had a favorite. She wondered what kind of music Cameron listened to. "I don't really know. I like older stuff, honestly, and I listen to a lot of alternative." She pursed her lips, considering it. "Name someone and I'll tell you my opinion." There were far too many too pick from. Winnie brushed another strand of hair from her face, stray hairs being an annoying little problem she had grown accustomed to.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

"Really? You are from Indiana?" He turned surprised, his eyes going a bit wider. Cameron had drove through Indiana many times. In all honesty, it was very flat and had little there. He still had many pictures despite that. Indiana, like the rest of the states, had its own stamp, its own scenic look. You could find beauty in everything, couldn't you? He noticed her laugh, liking how it flowed almost effortlessly. It was contagious and he found himself smiling too.

Cameron was impressed that she listened to older stuff, that was a rare case in people these days. Unfortunately for him, Cam had always been influenced by his sister and brothers choice in music. Carter liked country which Cameron could not stand. Macey on the other hand enjoyed a taste along the lines of Winnie's. She usually made Cameron listen to her Indie and Alternative things. "You would get along with my sister." He half laughed, his eyebrows rising. Trying to decide on an artist to ask about, he got distracted by the little hairs that kept falling onto her face. How did she have golden hair? "What about Green Day?" Everyone seemed to have strong opinions about that particular band and he was especially curious to hear hers.

Stellarum{•Daughter of Hecate•} | 134 comments Mod
"Yep, the Hoosier state..." Winnie never got really exited about the place she was raised in. She always loved the view out in the country side, and she liked that she always knew someone to go to if she needed help. But, Indiana was always too small to house Winnie's big dreams. She would have loved to live in Chicago, where there were buildings with more than two stories! "Nothing really exciting about that. Chicago's cool, though. I went there once to see a ballet. I've always loved big cities." She gushed, getting distracted for a moment.

Winnie was brought back to the present with their conversation about music. "I'll have to meet her some time, then." Winnie said with a smile. As soon as the words escaped her lips, she regretted them. Chances were, she would probably never see this guy again. Why talk about meeting his family?! However, her worries washed away when he mentioned Green Day, and a reminiscent smile crossed her face. "Actually, my brother used to listen to them all the time. My dad said their music was disrespectful, but I always liked them. Especially Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Now, that's a good song."

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

"What brought you here?" Cameron asked curiously, his eyes a bit wide. It was normal for people to come and vacation here when they came from big cities. It was much more rare for someone to come from a place like Indiana. He thought back to the skyscrapers and buildings. Yes, he missed the city a little, but it really wasn't for him. As much as it was cool and exciting, after a while it was annoying to have tourists and crowds everywhere. It was much nicer here.

Did she really want to meet his sister? That was a first. It probably just slipped out, so he brushed that comment aside. "That song is very good." He agreed, a comfortable smile still lingering on his lips. "I really like Stray Heart too. Though that one is a bit more unknown." Trying to come up with more bands, he had little problem. "What about Lifehouse?"

Stellarum{•Daughter of Hecate•} | 134 comments Mod
Winifred didn't really like that topic, so she answered as vaguely as she could. "Oh, you know, my mom has family here." She tapped her fingers on her leg as she spoke, perhaps a tad nervous. Winnie hated talking about her parent's divorce, the only exception being consulting her mom. It had changed a lot things for her, like how she viewed life and love. Better to shy away from her own history. But, why would anyone want to leave a place like Chicago? Having never seen many cities and being a little naive, Winnie couldn't see the answer.

She was relieved, though, that he hadn't said anything more about his sister. Stop being so stupid! She scorned herself. In Winnie's mind, all she wanted was a friend and she didn't want to lead him on. But some part of her disagreed with that statement... Winifred smiled at his mention of Stray Heart, impressed that he knew it, for not many did. "Yeah, I'm surprised that you mentioned it. Eli loved that song. It doesn't really get the credit it deserves, I think." Winnie enjoyed talking about music very much, for her whole life was pretty much centered around it. "Lifehouse is pretty good, too. What about The Fray?"

((Ugh, I love Stray Heart!!!))

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

((Me too!! Thank goodness someone else likes Green day. All of my friends are into like hardcore pop and stuff))

Noticing her hesitant reply, Cameron decided it would probably be best not to touch farther on that subject. He let it all drop, focusing all of his attention on their music conversation. "They have a lot of songs like that." Cameron noted, being able to come up with a list of other good Green Day songs. He could bury himself in music and be distracted for hours. The best part was it just never got old. "The Fray is good. Many of their songs sound the same though." He paused, then quickly added, "But that isn't really a bad thing, considering they are very good."

It was hard not to wonder about her past. The way she had reacted, was well, interesting. Maybe someday Winnie would open up to Cameron. Hopefully. That thought was unfair he decided, scrunching up his nose. This was probably just a one time conversation. A brief chat about music. Nothing more.

Stellarum{•Daughter of Hecate•} | 134 comments Mod
((Story of my life right there. Seriously, I'm so sick of hearing Lady Gaga and Carly Rae Jepsen when I'm riding in friends' cars!))

"True," Winnie agreed, happy he didn't press the issue of her situation any further. Then, the corner of her mouth turned up slightly when Cameron practically defended himself. Honestly, she thought it was kind of cute...But that was a stupid thought! She barely knew the guy. Besides, Winnie was afraid of relationships. No man was worth that kind of aggrievation, no matter how stunning his eyes were..."I used one of their songs in a competition once, though. Never Say Never. Got to say, way better than Justin Beiber's." She said jokingly. "How about The Black Keys? Ever heard of them?" Winnie was curious about that, for she listened to a lot of obscure music.

Suddenly, Winnie's focus was torn away from Cameron by a male voice calling out her name. She turned her head slightly, noticing Miles, one of the other life guards. Miles had a habit of flirting with every girl he saw, including Winnie, but he wasn't anything close to her type. She liked to consider herself a sapiosexual: attracted to intelligence. However, Miles was waving at her from the life guard station, trying to get her attention. He gave her a thumbs up, then. That was the signal that her shift was over. Winnie let out a sigh. "Looks like I'm done for today..." She bit her lip, pushing her hair out of her eyes once more. "Free for the rest of the afternoon." Perhaps she was hinting at something, but it was subconsciously. She had no clue she was doing it, but Winnie kind of wanted to talk to Cameron for a little longer...

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Who was that guy? Cameron tilted his head to the side, getting a better view of the guy. Of course, a lifeguard. A muscular, probably charming, womanizing, flirting little -. Wait, what am I thinking? Cameron didn't quite understand what thoughts just came out of him. He wasn't jealous. It wasn't like he had anything with Winnie. Of course someone with flawless features and golden hair would have other male friends. That was to be expected wasn't it? Somehow that didn't make him feel better. Plus, he didn't even know what the guy was like. Except well, the muscular part. Cameron did a disguised check at his own body, almost letting out a laugh. It wasn't that he was fat, just mostly skinny. He had muscles, somewhere.. Before he could flex to check, luckily he stopped himself. You hopeless idiot.

With a small cough, he cleared his mind and searched for any experience with the name The Black Keys. Unfortunately, he hadn't heard of them. Cameron laughed pleasantly at her Justin Bieber comment, nodding to show he agreed. "I haven't heard any of The Black Keys' stuff." He admitted honestly, rubbing the back of his neck. A competition? Did she dance? He would have to ask her later, now didn't seem like the time.

Free for the rest of the afternoon. Was she hinting at something? Was this her way of trying to get him to ask her to stay longer? His mind had scattered thoughts. Take that Lifeguard! He couldn't help but feel a bit more confident. With an alluring smile, (or attempt at one) he sat up a bit taller. "If you are off... Would you like to get food or something?" He asked quickly, trying to not mumble or rush it too much. Wait, was he being too rash? Maybe that was not what she meant. He mentally groaned, unable to take back the words.

"Your should really look them up. The Black Keys are great. Really bring back old school rock." She smiled, pretty much ignoring the male lifeguard. She hated guys like that, as she had known one too many. All they were after was a couple one night stands, and it was obvious. Mom said that Winnie's father was always one of those guys. Winnie certainly didn't want a guy like that.

Having not actually planned to go out with this guy, Winnie mentally cursed herself. Did she really say that she was free all afternoon? What was she doing? Just don't grow too attached. Just a friend... "Actually, I'd love to, Cameron." Winnie said, feeling her heart jump a little. His smile was pretty handsome...Stop that! Winnie couldn't help her cheeks from growing a little rosy, though. "I just have to go get changed real quick. I'll be right back." With that, Winifred stood, grabbing her bag which contained her clothes, and swiftly moved to the restrooms that were surrounded by lockers and sunblock stations. She was graceful when she moved, a trait that was learned and not inherit. Winnie went inside the women's bathroom, changing into her normal clothes and out of her bathing suit. Normally, she would have changed in the lifeguard station, but no way was that happening with Miles over there.

After checking her hair in the mirror, which she thought was unbelievably stupid but did anyway, Winnie went back outside to where she had left Cameron. "I'm back." She said. Good job, Captain Obvious! She thought sarcastically. Winnie tucked her blonde hair behind her ears. "So. Where to? I have my car, so I can just meet you wherever."

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

"I think I just might." He tried to memorize the band name. The Black Keys, luckily, was not a difficult name memorize. Once it was stamped in his mind, he nodded once, smiling a small, warm smile. He always loved when he was introduced to new bands. It killed him to think about all the good music out there, that he would never hear.

His eyes opened a bit wider as she said yes. She didn't just say yes, she said "I'd love to." Cameron tried not to let that go to his head. What if she was just being polite? He frowned slightly at that thought. He watched her leave for a few seconds before turning to grab his camera. Silently he went through the pictures he had recently taken. Deleting most of them, he felt satisfied with a few great shots. That was the thing with photography. You could take a hundred photos and only have one good one or you could take a hundred photos and have all of them be good. You just never knew. He let out a small breath of air and stood up. Cameron gently brushed the sand from his body and noticed Winnie approaching.

She looked good. Almost better than she had minutes before. Was that even possible? Realizing she was speaking, he coughed nervously. Where did people go for a casual lunch? He had no idea. It would be too much to take her somewhere expensive and fancy he assumed, biting his bottom lip as he debated on all the restaurants. You can't go wrong with pizza, can you? "How about the Pizzeria?" He suggested, deciding on that one. "I mean, unless you don't like pizza. Or maybe you are a vegetarian, but I guess we don't need meat on the pizza. And if you are lactose intolerant we can go somewhere else completely." He stopped abruptly, ending his small and embarrassing rambling. Slowly he finished, saying each word carefully while pink rose up his neck. "Whatever you want, I am okay with."

Stellarum{•Daughter of Hecate•} | 134 comments Mod
"The Pizzeria sounds just fine." Winnie said with a light laugh and a smile. She thought it was pretty adorable how flustered he seemed now, as Winnie wasn't used to guy's acting like that around her. Sure, there were men like Miles who flirted around all the time, but not ones who actually seemed nervous to be around her. It made her feel warm inside, which was the best way she could describe it. And oddly, it made her feel a little anxious, too. That was stupid! Winnie wasn't the type who just got nervous about things. She was bold, someone who lived life out of intention instead of habit.

Stupid, stupid, stupid... The word wouldn't stop repeating itseld over and over inside her head. That was what her mother had said when they were taking the long drive back to Amour Beach. She kept whispering that one word to herself, frantic and depressed, and Winnie had promised herself she would never go through that. Winifred didn't want love if that was what it did to people. It couldn't be worth it, right? And besides, that was a ridiculous thought to have right now. She barely knew Cameron, and they were just having a friendly afternoon together, right? Sure...Winifred could convince herself that. She could remain in denial.

"I'll meet you there, then." Winnie said softly. "And just for the record, not a vegetarian and not lactose intolerant." She chuckled, touching his shoulder gently before walking away from that spot on the beach. She felt that weird knot in her chest which didn'y make sense at all. Winnie glanced back at Cameron once before heading to her yellow jeep wrangler, ignoring the wink from Miles she got as she passed the lifeguard station.

Wanting to fist bump the air, jump around and maybe even sing an Elvis song; Cameron struggled to only wave goodbye. Somehow a random occurrence at a beach led to lunch with this girl? A girl who could not have been more perfect? Maybe his luck was finally changing? Maybe Carter would consider him an equal for once in their short lives? With a wide smile, Cameron head for his car, only turning once to call out something. "I'm glad I met you." He's words were smooth and for once, confident. Before he could see her reaction he slipped into his car and started it up.

Grinning from ear to ear, he probably looked like a maniac driving around the town. He didn't care. He also didn't care that the song on the radio was quite terrible. He may have even sang along to it. Maybe it was ridiculous for him to be so excited, I mean they were only getting pizza, but somehow that didn't dampen his mood. Could anything?

((switch to pizzeria?))

Liam held his surf board to his side and studied the waves. He wasn't much of a surfer, but figured he'd might as well give it a try. The ocean spray felt nice against his bare chest, especially with the sun beating down on him. It almost reminded him of a beach in Italy where he'd, well it was better not to say. Although he did remember it being quite enjoyable. Maybe moving to Amour Beach was going to have more benefits than just being out of the range of his creditors. He'd seen some of the girls around here and figured some would be more than willing to spend some time with him, after all who wasn't.

((So, I have to ask...Is it 'Clara O.' as in Clara Oswald?))

Julietta had went straight to the beach after visiting the surf shop, laying out her towel. She could get some sun and relax at the same time this way. Having always preferred simple elegance, she wore a dark red bikini with no excessive designs on it and a pair of sleek, black sunglasses. Considering how crappy her day had been, Juliet was in a fairly good mood. It felt nice outside and the waves had a very calming effect. Plus, her little brother was no where in sight, which was odd. Normally, Vito Bellinato was always some where...waiting to annoy his older sister at the most inconvenient times. She loved him, anyways, though, as family was very important to her. Although...she would never admit to being protective of that annoying little twit.

Propping herself up in her elbows, Julietta surveyed her surroundings behind her dark glasses. If anyone were to actually be able to see the blue orbs, they would notice how much of a cunning and sly nature Juliet really had. She noticed a surfer also at the beach who wasn't too bad on the eyes, she had to admit. Julietta was in the mood for some fun and anything to get her mind off of her own problems. Strangely, though, Juliet didn't recognize this guy. She searched her mind for any records on him, but found nothing. She didn't like not knowing things...

((Well, I was hoping someone would figure it out! Yes, yes it is!))

How hard could surfing really be? Liam may have never actually surfed before, but he'd seen others surfing. He looked at his surfboard again, what was this rope and cuff for? As he examined the board, he noticed he had company, and not just any company. He was a decent distance away from the girl, but he could tell she was a beautiful girl, maybe one he'd even like to, get to know a little better. He may have put his past behind him, but women was one thing he couldn't give up.

Liam winked at the girl before heading into the water. It turns out all he needed was a little incentive to get him in the water, and what better than a beautiful woman. He tried to remember what he'd seen other surfers do and paddled out into the ocean, belly on the board. He did well enough until he reached the wave. He stood up on the board and was immediately knocked off. So maybe surfing was slightly harder than it looked. He broke the surface of the water, and reached out for his board. That was the last time he would try that.

((Awesome! I LOVE Doctor Who!!! And seriously, Clara and 11 was one of my favorite ships ever!))

Julietta raised an eyebrow at the man when he winked. She rather liked confidence in guys, as long as they didn't think they were the one in charge. That, as always, was Juliet. She liked to be in control of every situation. Julietta watched as that same man attempted surfing and from the moment he stood up, she realized he was an amateur. She herself didn't surf, but there was no way Juliet could outrank him in the uncoordinated department, she thought. Biting her lip, Juliet stifled a rather unladylike laugh. However, it was obvious by her smirk that she found the scenario amusing.

She then rose a little taller, now putting her weight on her hands instead of her elbows. Her ankles were crossed in front of her so that she might show off her legs. Julietta had never been remotely modest about her looks. "Need a hand, hotshot?" Juliet called out, pushing her glasses to rest on top of her head. Her devious blue eyes were now visible, clear as day. She didn't really know what she was planning just yet, but Julietta was always up to something. And this guy was still cute, despite him being terrible on a board.

((I love them, but nothing will beat Rose and 10 for me!))

Liam swam back to the shore, directly in front of the girl. He let his eyes graze up her body as he walked over to her. She knew she was pretty and just how to show off those mile long legs of hers. Liam thought she was the kind of girl who knew what she wanted and got it. Maybe it was a hunch or maybe it was the devious look in those clear, blue eyes.

He ran a hand through his hair and laughed, "Well that didn't turn out quite the way I had planned." His British accent was thick. He'd learned to use his accent to his benefit, most girls did anything he asked when they found out he was British. "I suppose that's why we stick to horses."

((BAD WOLF!!!))

"Or maybe we should just stick to not falling off of things, hm?" Julietta was a clever girl and just mildly snarky at times. Often, no one could tell if she was joking or not and it pleased her immensely to see people struggle as they tried to figure out if she was insulting them or not. She'd be good with a business job, though she found such ventures quite tedious. Boring, really. Juliet gave the man a light smirk, but there was an amused smile in her eyes. She was a very flirty girl when she wanted to be. "Or do you consider that part of the sport?"

Julietta did like his voice, though. Something she could get used to easily... "Julietta Bellinato." She introduced with a sly wink. If one hadn't realized she was Italian by now, they would have gotten the hint by the way she used her hands to help her speak, but she did so with delicate movements. No one could look over her strong New York accent either. "Call me Juliet." She made no move to shake his hand, as that was a sign that you had no weapons on you. Franco Bellinato had told her never to shake hands. Her mind was a weapon, wasn't it? As was her beauty, for she used it in dangerous ways.

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) Quinn had her rash guard on, her surf board under her arm. Some people ran up to her every couple moments for autographs, others took pictures and some just did nothing. She was glad for the change, people always following her around had been getting tiredsome.

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) "Uh, sure" she replied to a small girl who had asked her to surf for them. She smiled happily running into the ocean, diving into the water with her broad pressed to her skin. She surfaced after the wave crashed and started swimming out a bit farther.

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) She turned her board and started paddling, as she reached the top of the wave she got to her feet. She then started surfing the wave, rather amazingly might I add.

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) Quinn grinned before running out of the water. She handed the surf board to her 'bodyguard' who was really just her cousin. "So, was that good?" She grabbed her towel drying out her hair. She had been asking the small crowd not any single person in general

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) "Taught myself act silly and thanks" she smiled walking over to the girl. "I'm Quinn. And you are?" She always liked knowing the names of her fans. It made them seem more like friends.

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) "Nice to meet you Ida. Maybe I could give you a lesson some time? Why don't we go to town or something and talk?" She had always wanted a friend, and Ida seemed like she would be a greats friend.

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) "Ok, how about the old diner? They have great food." She pulled on her flip flops and started walking, waiting by the beginning of the beach for Ida.

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) She smiled, and started walking to the old diner. ((continue their))

✖ Qᴜᴇᴇɴ ✖ (notonguewithbutt) ((yea ok))

Jessica~We Are All Heathens~ (puppyluvr) Lilac walked down to the beach. She kicked off her flip-flops and felt the soft sand underneath her feet. She ran down to the water and dipped her toes into the clear liquid. A slight breeze was going through the air, but not enough to make the day cooler.

Liliana | 16 comments Orion was sketching quietly when he saw the girl run down into the water. He was instantly drawn to her and as such, abnormally for him, he called out. "Hello?" He regretted it almost immediately but it was too late.

Jessica~We Are All Heathens~ (puppyluvr) The voice was unexpected and Lilac lost her balance and fell on the sand. She laughed and waved. "Hi!"

Liliana | 16 comments Orion blushed, embarrassed. "Sorry," he said sheepishly, standing and walking towards her a bit. He offered his hand to help her up.

Jessica~We Are All Heathens~ (puppyluvr) Lilac took his hand and she stood up, brushin the sand off of herself. "That's okay! I don't mind," she smiled.

Liliana | 16 comments Orion smiled in return. "My name's Orion by the way," he said, brushing a bit of sand off her shoulder. "I'm new around here."

Jessica~We Are All Heathens~ (puppyluvr) "Nice to meet you!" she laughed. "I'm Lilac. I've been here for about a year."

Liliana | 16 comments "Cool," he said laughing, although he wasn't sure what was so funny. "You must know everyone."

Jessica~We Are All Heathens~ (puppyluvr) "Eh," she shrugged. "Not really. I don't get around much..."

Liliana | 16 comments Orion nodded. "Me neither. In fact, you're the first person I've exchanged more than a few words with."
