▐ ♦ Asᴛʀᴏʟᴏɢɪᴄᴀʟ Sɪɢɴ: Leo ᒥ ♌ ᒧ
The zodiac sign of Leo has the symbol of 'The Lion' and just like a lion; a Leo believes that he rules everyone else. Don't tell him he doesn't, it will break his big, loving, proud heart. Leos can easily go from being vigorously outgoing to plain lazy. If you want to find a Leo, go to the most dazzling places in the town. You will find him there, surrounded by people and playing his role in the limelight beautifully. He likes to live in style and hates boredom. There are hardly any introvert Leos, only those who pretend to be introverts.

Heterosexuality is romantic attraction, sexual attraction or sexual behavior between persons of opposite sex or gender in the gender binary. As a sexual orientation, heterosexuality refers to "an enduring pattern of or disposition to experience sexual, affectionate, physical or romantic attractions to persons of the opposite sex"; it also refers to "a person's sense of identity based on those attractions, related behaviors, and membership in a community of others who share those attractions". The term is usually applied to humans, but it is also observed in all mammals.

▐ ♦ Wᴇᴀᴘᴏɴs: Knives
Like a few of the other tributes that have entered into this deathly game of skill and wit, Cooper utilizes the weapon of blades. His use in daggers and knives is extensive, it having been a little hobby of his to learn everything about him. It hasn't been until now that he's actually had the opportunity to use his knowledge on a living, breathing target though. But while his knowledge is grand, Cooper is not all as advanced in weaponry as some of the careers from Districts one and two may be. Though he likes to believe himself superior to all of them, he's lacking in some areas, a definite show of his weaknesses.

❝ɪᴛ's ᴍʏ ᴏωɴ ᴅᴇsɪɢɴ. ɪᴛ's ᴍʏ ᴏωɴ ʀᴇᴍᴏʀsᴇ ʙᴜᴛ ɪ ɴᴇᴇᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛᴏ ʜᴇʟᴘ ᴍᴇ ᴅᴇᴄɪᴅᴇ.❞
║ ❆ ║ Upon a first glance, one would not assume that such arrogance could hide behind the countenance of this young lad of a mere seventeen years old. His dark brown hair is kept in a mannerly style and a bright smile is always on his lips, hinting that he has either just told a joke or pulled a dastardly prank that he couldn't be more proud of. Without hearing the words from his mouth, the only hint that Cooper may even be slightly infatuated with himself is the glint in his dark green eyes as he looks one in the eye before telling them of his own little misadventures. The moment words have spilled from his mouth, it is obvious that he couldn't be more happy with himself and his actions, never doubting himself for one moment. His lengthy stature of six foot one gives off confidence in every single movement, never missing a beat.

▐ ♦ Hᴀɪʀ: Cooper's hair, much like his mother's, is a dark brown shade.
▐ ♦ Eʏᴇs: Cooper's irises are a deep green pigmentation: (view spoiler)
▐ ♦ Sᴋɪɴ Tᴏɴᴇ: Being of Irish descent, Cooper's skin is a very light tone.
▐ ♦ Bᴜɪʟᴅ: Cooper's build is quite lean, though slightly built from work.
▐ ♦ Dɪsᴛɪɴɢᴜɪsʜɪɴɢ Mᴀʀᴋs: His body's littered with scars from childhood.

▐ ♦ Tʀᴀɪᴛs: ᴄᴏɴғɪᴅᴇɴᴛ | sᴀʀᴄᴀsᴛɪᴄ | ᴀʀʀᴏɢᴀɴᴛ | ʜᴜᴍᴏʀᴏᴜs | ʀᴇᴄᴋʟᴇss
Cᴏɴғɪᴅᴇɴᴛ
↳ If there is one word to perfectly sum up Cooper, it is confident. Everything he does, he does with a sheer radiation of determination and courage, never wavering in his assurance in himself. It's quite the contrast to that of his friend, Addison, who is quiet and meek. However, this is really what makes the two good friends, Coop giving her courage and Addy giving him a sense of solace in the things he can't handle on his own. Through the thick and thin, they stay true to each other, their flaws balanced with the other's strengths. And though he'll always be confident and he'll always have the drive to be perfect, Addy helps him when he truly can't be.

Sᴀʀᴄᴀsᴛɪᴄ
↳ Coop has quite the tongue on him. When people insult him, it's likely that he will show absolutely no remorse or anger and simply spout out an arrogantly, sarcastic reply that will tell the other person that he simply does not give a shit. Maybe it's rather pigheaded of him to act as though he's not bothered by other people's comments, but, really, what else can he do? So far, sarcasm has worked like a charm for him and with that knowledge in mind, it's likely that he'll always use it to his advantage. After all, why wouldn't he if he thinks he's just so darn good at it?

Aʀʀᴏɢᴀɴᴛ
↳ There is no doubt in the minds of every single person that lays eyes on him that Cooper is arrogant in every single way possible. His eyes glint with conceit and his confident stance just exudes egotism. He's truly built himself up to believe he is the best at everything he does, even if that's not always the case. However, living in such a time of despair and anguish, it's not like many people can really fault him for this. For him, it's either be tough or be broken, and he'd much rather take his chances being an arrogant jerk than a pitiful weakling. Besides, it's not as though he's really mean, per se. Rather, he's just a bit arrogant, but can actually be a very sweet boy when he wants to be. That's the key though: when he wants to be.

Hᴜᴍᴏʀᴏᴜs
↳ The thing that really completes Cooper's persona is his sense of humor. Though one may not always believe him to have one at first due to his arrogant tendencies, he really does have a nice way of going about things in a humorous style. He takes things lightly, using sarcasm to do his bidding. He doesn't cave under pressure like some people and will brush things off as easy even when they're not. Because of this, it's easy for him to joke around with others, teasing them whenever he can. This can lead to the possibility of coming off as insensitive, but Cooper doesn't believe that's the case. He's just having fun; that's all there is to it.

Rᴇᴄᴋʟᴇss
↳ Reckless doesn't even begin to cover Cooper's antics. While, yes, he jumps into things without really thinking them through, but he's leaps and bounds further than that. He doesn't just not think about things, but he'll do stuff without even knowing what it is he's actually getting himself into. Someone could walk right up to him and tell him to try something and he'd do it right away, never even contemplating that it could get him killed. This is one of his most fatal flaws, proving to cause him far more harm than good. It's the reason he's in these games and without it, it's likely he wouldn't be even close to where he is today.

║ ❆ ║ Cooper's life was never meant to be easy. Sure, in the beginning it hadn't been all too bad, his mother being a simple woman who took care of her son while his father went off to earn money for the small family. But in the end, things didn't end up all too wonderful. We're getting ahead of ourselves, though. His past is what should be focused on.

Childhood proved to be quite an active time in Coop's life. When he was younger, things had been a lot simpler than now, his friends genuine and his motives assured. He'd known who had his back: only Addison. She'd been a girl that he hadn't liked to admit his little infatuation with when he was younger, teasing her over the simplest of things such as her golden blonde hair or the little habits she had. The teasing had always been lighthearted on his side, but it wasn't until he realized the full weight of what he was doing that he made himself stop.

Addy's life was never meant to be easy. Through a life of deaths and reapings, she'd endured the worst of times and Cooper's teasing hadn't made it any easier. Though he'd thought he was being lighthearted, he'd actually had the tendency to slowly wear her down. When her friend, Macy was reaped in her place, Cooper realized just how fragile Addy was. She was losing everyone to the games: her siblings, her parents, and now her friends. And so, Coop decided to fill the hole those people had left behind. He would be her friend.

And even now, as the reaping for this year is ready to commence, Cooper has her back. He'll stand strong, protecting her no matter what the situation. Maybe it will initiate his reckless behaviors and maybe he'll wind up putting them both in danger, but Coop is determined. And when he's determined, only good things can happen. Or at least, most of the time.

Nickname Addy

Gender: Female

Place of Birth District 3

District: Three { 3; technology }

Appearance:

(view spoiler)
Hair: light blonde

Build: slim
Distinguished Markings: nothing more than the fact that she’s intelligent beyond compare.
Blood Type: AB Positive { AB+ }
Height: 5’2”
Weight: 101 pounds
Face Claim: Elle Fanning

Personality: Addy doesn't like to talk much. She prefers to stick in the background with her book and a little machine to occupy her hands. The first thing that anyone needs to understand about Addy is that she's beyond intelligent. Her mind is her greatest strength. Addy’s IQ is above any philosopher's, her ability to solve problems, answer questions, memorize facts--anything really--is far stronger than you'd expect looking at her. Addy is always one to depend on logic. She's clear headed, but no one really knows much about her. Addy is very introverted, very shy. Not so shy that she'll go into panic if you look at her, but more like the just barely there girl that no one really notices. Addy is rebellious, but in a quiet way. It's hard to see her rebel side.

History: Addy had it tough right from the start. Her mother, a victor of previous games, was hardly around, and her father, the mayor, was less than nice. The young girl was raised by her older siblings, which didn't last long. By the time Addy had turned eight, both of her siblings had been killed in the Games, after making it reasonably far.

Addy knew she'd be next, she'd always known. Macy, her best friend, had known it, too. So together, they learned, they trained, and they hoped that the day Addy got reaped, at least she'd be ready. No one had expected Macy to get reaped.

Macy didn't win the games. She was killed in the blood bath.

And Addy was alone once more. Her mother had disappeared, assumed dead, and her father was MIA.

Addy often found herself aimlessly wandering the streets, hopelessly waiting for someone.

Until Coop. He'd teased her before, but eventually, it stopped. And they became friends.

Family:
Ulrich Zoetisch | Father | Alive and Well | Mayor

Relationships:
Macy Estella Martinez | Best Friend { Ex } | Deceased
Dalton Georgeson | Boyfriend { Ex } | Alive and Well
Cooper 'Chicken Coop' Alecai James West | Best Friend | Alive and Well | Tribute

Weapons: Addy isn’t the best at fighting, but she’s got wits. She can make things explode with immense ease. And she’s smart. Strategy and combustion, that’s what she does.

Talents: Making things explode; building; memorizing; knowing useless facts; outsmarting things

Likes: explosions; math; science; whales; languages; humor; music
Dislikes: silence; confusion; chocolate; pie; destruction; failure; dresses
Strengths: knowing things; memorization; blowing things up; stealth
Weaknesses: loyalty; fear; pride; stubborn; rebellious

Other: Addy is left side dominant, a genius of epic proportions, and an all time klutz.

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Nah, I'm watching videos on it and geeking out in my room. The wii's in my mom's room.

message 21: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "We're going to get in so much trouble..." Addy mumbled worriedly as she slipped through the squeaking doors of her and Coop's usual hangout. These words were routine for her. Abandoned warehouse: check. No followers: check. Honestly, this worried her sometimes. What if the peacekeepers caught them sneaking around a closed building?

message 22: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Coop could only shake his head, walking with confidence further into the warehouse he used as his own personal getaway. It was pretty nice, actually. You know, if you ignored all the diminished bits of building littering the ground and just focused on the seclusion of it all. Yeah, then it was just perfect. "We're not gonna get in trouble, Addy." This was something he believed wholeheartedly. He'd come here numerous times; what were the chances of getting caught this time around?

message 23: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy shook her head slowly, clenching her hands in fists and shoving them in her pockets. "We're going to get in so much trouble," she repeated stubbornly, blowing a few loose strands of hair out of her face. "When we get in trouble, I'm going to say you kidnapped me." She added, only half jokingly. She, of course, would never say that, but joking about it was certain to give him a better idea, right? Anywhere but here...

message 24: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Her reply only made Coop smile. He'd figured that she'd never say something like that and, despite her wining, he wasn't about to just head back like nothing had happened. He wanted to get out here and take chances. It was better than sitting around in fear doing nothing all day like the rest of Panem did. "Or I could just say that you kidnapped me instead." He threw in a wink just for the heck of it before continuing along, ignoring her warnings completely.

message 25: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "And who would believe that?" Addy inquired with a roll of her blue eyes, her nails digging into the pale but calloused skin on her palms as she clenched them. The reapings were in a few days, Coop was sure to get them both killed, and here he was, laughing. Addy knew that she'd get reaped soon, with her family's history. Might as well live... hell no, who was she kidding? This wasn't how she wanted her last days to be. "Big, strong Coop being kidnapped by small, helpless Addy?"

message 26: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) In all honesty, Coop was trying not to think of the reapings. He knew the chances everyone had here -- especially Addy with what her family had been through -- and he'd rather not dwell on that. Maybe later, when he was by himself, he'd count their unlucky stars. But not right now. "Hey, it could happen." He stated, shrugging his shoulders. "It's always the innocent looking ones that you got to watch out for, you know?"

message 27: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "You may have to watch out for the innocent ones," Addy agreed with a laugh. She knew Coop, and that if they did get caught, it wouldn't be for long. They'd be gone in a heartbeat should it happen. She was only slightly worried. "But the only way I could've possibly kidnapped you is if you'd gone with me willingly. And that'd hardly be kidnapping, now would it?"

message 28: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) She was right in assuming such things. Had the two of them been caught, he would have gotten them out of there with minimal damage. The most harm that would have been done was the promise that he'd get her out of there first. Maybe he was selfless in that way. Everyone knew he wasn't any other time. "See, but it would be if I'd agreed to go and then realized that I didn't want to later. If you forced me to stay, then it would be kidnapping."

message 29: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "And what kind of idiot would you be to do that?" she noted with a roll of her aqua eyes and a soft laugh. Coop, no matter how arrogant, could be rather funny at times... usually it bothered her how effortlessly he could be funny. "Besides, we all know I can't force you to do anything. I'm half your size."

message 30: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Lifting his arms over his head in a stretch, Coop just shook his head, being completely and utterly ornery. "A pretty big one." He laughed, only able to agree with her. "But, you know," He brought down his arms, turning to face her as he leaned his back against one of the abandoned warehouse's support beams, "Persuasion can be a pretty powerful thing."

message 31: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "So they'd have to be you?" Addy inquired innocently, a grin on her lips as she seated herself on an old, empty crate. Maybe this warehouse wasn't the most ideal location for hanging out, but it was the only place that there were no more cameras--she'd checked time and time again. "And since when is persuasion a weapon that I have at my immediate disposal?"

message 32: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Coop's hand went to his heart, acting as though she'd shot him with a silver bullet. "Ouch. That hurts, Addy. That really hurts." There was a sly smile on his lips as he gave a small chuckle, enjoying the playful bantering they were indulging themselves in. It was a good opportunity to be his complete self without having to worry about getting in trouble for it. Not that Coop was ever really that careful anyways. "You're right about that one." He teased, "Nevermind. You probably couldn't ever get me to do something like that."

message 33: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy laughed softly, slapping him playfully. "I'd be happy to hurt you again," she teased. "After all, I did kidnap you, right?" A grin played on her lips. "And kidnappers are far from nice." Addy was often playful when it got down to just her and Coop. The moment anyone else was thrown into the equation, she became a socially awkward blonde girl who tended to hide behind her friend. It didn't bode well for her.

message 34: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Another laugh escaped Coop as she hit him, his eyes alight with amusement. "You just did." He spoke, laughing a bit more than he should have. However, in these times, he didn't really think there was such thing as too much happiness. He'd rather have more than he was supposed to than not enough. "But you're hardly nice. You're kind of making me change my stance on your innocence here, Addy. You sure you're not some evil psychopath that wants to just steal me away in the middle of the night? I mean, I know I'm a nice catch, but that's taking it a little far, don't you think?"

message 35: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy grinned, punching his arm lightly, not enough to hurt a lot, but enough to jostle him slightly--which was about as hard as she could punch, sadly. "Oh shut up. I'm perfectly innocent. Rainbows and sunshine, dude." she promised, a laugh slipping between her somehow entirely somber lips. "Only a psychopath in my dreams. And probably yours, too. Because we all know I'm a helluva lot more attractive when insane."

message 36: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Coop simply rubbed his arm as she spoke, shaking his head once again. "You know, I would believe you if it weren't for the fact that you practically broke my arm just now. So thanks." He smiled at her, thinking it funny how they were debating her innocence. Hell, if there was anyone that was farthest from bad in this entire district -- maybe even Panem -- it was Addy. There was just no denying that. "What is that supposed to mean?" Cooper inquired a second later on her dreams, laughing to himself. Insane in his dreams. Right, that was it.

message 37: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy laughed softly, turning her back to him before seating herself on an empty crate once more. "Well I'm not going to kiss your arm to make it feel better." She stated firmly, a grin on her lips. "Find someone else for that." Addy was quite nice, honestly, but she couldn't help but tease her best friend. She had to let all that energy out somehow, didn't she?

message 38: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "You're not?" Coop asked, feigning a bit of surprise, "You are an awful person, you know that? Punch me and then not even apologize. Thanks, Addy. You're a real catch there." Coop didn't really mind all the teasing, honestly. With the inflated ego that he had, he could take a million more snarky comebacks and then some. No one was going to break down his armor regardless of how many stones they threw. After all, that's what he'd built himself up to do. His defenses were practically bulletproof. Well, emotionally, that is.

message 39: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "Nope," Addy answered with a smug grin, crossing her arms over her chest as she pulled her knees up to her chest. Her fear of being caught: entirely forgotten. She supposed that was what Coop did for her. He helped her forget, helped her life a little. If it weren't for him, she'd still be locked up in her room, anxiously counting down the days until she'd make it out of the reapings alive. With none left to speak of. Though it was unlikely she'd live to adulthood, with her family's history.

message 40: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) The smile Coop had had remained on his face as Addy answered him, his eyes watching her as she pulled her knees up close to her. Coop guessed that, in many ways, she did the same for him, helping him get through things that he couldn't on his own. While he might have been there to help her forget, she was there to help him remember. To help him remember that he could still be brought down. That he wasn't as perfect as he liked to think himself. "Hey, Addy?"

message 41: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy's smile lingered on her lips, though she hardly ever smiled beyond a slight one. Grins to her were rare, and only brought out by Cooper. Not that she was dark in any way, just because she didn't smile easily. "Yeah?" she inquired, her bright blue eyes watching Coop carefully. "What is it, Chicken Coop?" The nickname she'd had for him since god knows when always brought a smile to her lips, no matter the situation.

message 42: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Nevermind." Having seen the smile that she gave him, Coop pushed down the words he was going to use and switched them out for new ones. He didn't see the use in making things more depressing than they already were nowadays. "Uh," He absentmindedly ran a hand through his short hair, trying to think of something new to say, "I was just wondering why you call me that in the first place. I'm not a chicken." Stupid words, he knew, but it was better than the other ones. Trust him.

message 43: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy arched a blonde eyebrow, knotting her hands in front of her knees. Those clearly weren't his original words, but she wasn't quite curious--which was very strange for her--to find out what he'd been planning to ask. When Coop avoided something, it was best to stay away, she'd learned. "Well," she started after a moment. "Your nickname was Coop. And what do you put in a coop? Chickens... well, that, and we met at a butcher's. Do you remember that? I was getting chicken for mom..."

message 44: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Right." Coop stated, nodding his head as though he was definitely thinking that was why. "Probably should have gotten that. See, I guess I really am the stupid one, huh?" There was a smile on his lips as he spoke, grateful that she'd let his slip go. If she'd asked him what he'd really meant to say, he wouldn't have known what to do. That was an awkward situation narrowly avoided right there.

message 45: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy laughed slightly, a smile playing on her lips. "Well, I'm not going to argue with that," she promised after a moment. "We all know you're the stupid one." Addy, in a moment of childishness, stuck her tongue out at him. Though the end result was a mouthful of long blonde hair, which she instantly spat out, she found herself still laughing. "You know," she started once all the hair was out of her mouth. "How did we even find this place?"

message 46: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Good, because I'm never saying it again." Coop teased, smirking to himself. Seeing her sticking her tongue out at him, Coop took the moment to be childish as well and returned the gesture, laughing afterwards. It felt good to laugh for once and not worry about the bad looks he'd earn. It was genuinely a nice feeling, one that was brought on fully by Addy's presence. And for that, he was grateful. "I have no idea." He said, shaking his head. "We just got lucky, I guess."

message 47: by cecilia (new)

cecilia Addy picked the last few blonde hairs gingerly from her mouth, a slightly disgusted though mostly amused expression on her lips. "I'll weasel it out of you," she vowed solemnly. "I've made you admit your stupidity many times. One more should be nothing." She shrugged, no big deal. Right? Wrong. Coop was ever so conceited. Getting him to admit stupidity? Impossible. Or near so, at least. "One blot of good luck in a streak of not so good." she mumbled with a sad smile.

message 48: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Coop employed his stubbornness right about then. "You will not." He stated, laughing at her for the mistake she'd made in sticking out her tongue. Who was the stupid one now, huh? However, he knew this was far from true. If anyone was stupid, it really would be him. Addy was so smart and resourceful where as he was just... well, he just had his strength. It didn't mean a lot. Without that, he was just a boy with arrogance. Nothing more. "Addy, we only have a few years." The words were formed from the sadness that she'd put off. "We can make it a few more years."

message 49: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "I will too!" Addy answered, a laugh on her lips. She'd been about to finish her statement with something not so nice--though entirely joking--but his words cut her off. She'd been dreading these. The Reapings were coming. So was her likely death. Still, playing dumb might put off the sadness a bit longer.
