Andy Myers (andybeau) | 22 comments Finished reading a mere few hours ago, and my emotional optimism has been taxed. So much beauty in this book, but I kept thinking, when will the sunny days return to stay?

Audrey (godsmissiongal) | 173 comments Time for a quick romance novel of sorts. This book has been emotionally taxing to say the least. What an emotional roller coaster I have been on these last few days. But I have enjoyed every minute of it. It has been such a wonderfully written book.

Karen Mockoviak | 274 comments I'm in chapter 6 right now and this is such a beautifully written book! There is so much emotion incorporated and I just can't put it down! I am definitely adding Hosseini's other books to my want to read list!

message 54: by Jenna (new)

Jenna My copy arrived at last and I read the first quarter within one session - just couldn't stop! I'm in the second half of the book now, but I almost don't want to read any more as I don't want it to finish. Marvellously written and a truly emotional story. :)

Claire (claire6452) | 718 comments I've just finished, and it was absolutely beautiful! Emotionally draining, but I loved the way Hosseini managed to tie everything together.

He is a master storyteller!

Sam I'm obviously in the minority but I couldn't even finish this book. I was so bored I found my mind wandering and couldn't remember what I had read moments before. For me the author is over rated. The Kite Runner was a two star book for me however I did love A Thousand Splendid Suns.

Read the first page and so far it seems like an interesting story. I absolutely loved the Kite Runner, which I wouldn't have chosen to read. But my gf insisted I read it.

Hoping this will be another good read. Looking forward to starting this book, right after I finish my current read (Orphan Train)

How are you finding Orphan Train? I've just finished it and was a little disappointed, expected more from it somehow.

Amanda (dangerprowse) A bit late in the month but I have started reading this book this week. I would never have chosen this book myself but am really enjoying it so far.

Theresa~OctoberLace (octoberlace) | 773 comments My book just came off hold today. I have another that I need to read by the 31st that cannot be renewed (many others on hold), so while I will get to read it, I won't finish by the end of January.

message 64: by Terrie (new)

Terrie Unfortunately, I was not successful in completing this book in January. I am enjoying it and I will finish it.
