So it was all a cover up right? Using the fairies, to cover all the bad deeds of that family, im soooo confused.

That was my take on it. No fairies, just a really screwed up, incestuous family. I read it quite a while ago & so it's not really fresh in my mind.

I think that Teilo was real (especially after the ending in the hospital) and that the events in the book were mix of the fairies in work and the family cover-up. At least that's my take on the book :)

I have no idea if teilo was real or not. a part of me thinks that maybe he is real and then another part makes me think that she was undergoing post traumatic stress syndrome but I have no idea.

I have to agree with Mooson. The ending made me think that Teilo was indeed real. If it wasn't for that last seen in the hospital, I might've written it off as a cover up for the families sick secrets.

The ending made me think Sam was in on it all along. Is he the "current" Tielo at the end of the book?

Isn't that the point? That we don't know what's real at the end? ...like the best episodes of the X-Files. Honestly I don't know which version was more terrifying. Who would have thunk that I'd ever be scared of fairies?
