SOLVED. Sci fi/romance: Woman has robot/clone helper whilst growing up. [s]

It was an adult sci-fi/romance book that I think was published recently(ish), say within the last 5 years? I read the beginning in a bookshop but didn't buy it, which I now regret! Book cover I think was blue with a moon and some shadows? But not sure as I looked at a lot of books that day!
Basic plot: A woman has a helper/private teacher who looks human but isn't whilst growing up, given to her by her father. These robot-type helper people are common in society and gain more rights as the book progresses. The woman's relationship with the helper complicates as she grows into an adult. The helpers also have some difficulty with emotions.
I've spent ages looking already but can't find it, any help would be much appreciated :)

I read your description and it reminded me of one that i read a couple years ago that was really good. very thought provoking. I know that you already found the one you were actually thinking of, but you might want to try this one too.
