No one has read this book.....?
Or at least not admitting to it?
I guess I shouldn't be surprised..I just found it on the "New Release" rack at my library.....I thought it was because I live in a backwoods town of 5000 or so rednecks.

I enjoyed it, and even learned a lot about Steven Tyler...worth reading!

I've read it. If you like Steven Tyler and Aerosmith, you will enjoy it. Otherwise you may not.

I got sick of it. Initially I'd heard that Steven Tyler's father was a classical pianist so it gave me the illusion that Steven was musically complex and of some substance...However, Steven doesn't portray himself that way. He says it straight out. I wanted to be a rock star. . . plain and simple....and boring. When I heard it wasn't about the music or something more interesting, I lost interest. Also, he swears so much he sounds ridiculous and it's not done at times where swearing improves or gives greater emphasis in a way that is effective. For example it's like "that's awesome" as compared to "that's fucking awesome."

What do you mean?! There are heaps of reviews and countless more ratings, including my own, on the book's page!

K.R. Puts it pretty well. Don't expect to read about the music, but if you want to know more about the man who created the music who, overuse of swearing as an adjective (which I'd forgotten about, though it usually irritates me ... a bit odd) aside, if you look behind the media hype of sex and drugs, is actually a pretty deep and spiritual individual, not ashamed to admit his flaws and how he's hurt people - especially those he's loved the most.

I flagged it away without finishing. The "voices on the page" got more irritating the further I got into the book. It felt too ADHD for me.

I love Aerosmith and Steven Tyler. I have read "Walk this Way", Bebe Buell (Liv's Mom) "Rebel Heart" and Cyrinda Foxe-Tyler's "Dream On"... I was interested to see how Steven would address the very unflattering allegations in Cyrinda's book...D**N..He addressed everything and did not deny one single thing. He does not use his drug addiction as an excuse for his sorry parenting, womanizing and other poor life choices.
I was surprised he told about "Diana" the 14 yr girl he really loved and the abortion she had..RIGHT THERE WAS STEVEN'S TURNING POINT THAT SET THE COURSE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE...It is my hypothesis that he suffered from PTSD after the "Diana" incident/relationship.
They say when you know a person's life story everything in their life makes sense...Either you get it or you don't...I get Steven Tyler..He is who he is..no excuses..

I enjoyed this book and Steve's sense of humour. he is an amazing singer. The part where the band fired not realising that he was the band. And how he got his own back on them.

I too read this book and found it to be very open and honest account. I've also read Bebe Buell's "Rebel Heart" and Cyrinda Foxe-Tyler's "Dream On". I have to totally agree with Sarah Beth's assessment! Words right out of my mouth!
