Is it just me or was this like the least likely collaboration ever?
Negative Plane - Stained Glass Revelations

Story is good. Narrator sucks!! Wish I picked up the paperback instead.

The SS-18 was a soviet intercontinental missile and this is Russian black metal from Stavropol.

My thanks Janie, I'm happy that a fellow fan of the Pixies would give me such credit! Sadly I don't really make playlists but if you want anything else like I've already posted, please ask me and I'll point you towards similar music if it would please thee.

The master of Black Metal strikes again! Ekel, this is just pure brutality, cool concept for a BM band to explore, rather then your typical Satanism/Paganism route.
Warfare and even nuclear warfare as lyrical concepts are not that unusual in black metal. However, the way SS-18 use that theme is indeed quite original, albeit you also have some of the more traditional misanthropic values here. Two other interesting bands are Minenwerfer and Sacriphyx, both inspired by the First World War.
There is also the War Metal genre, but despite the name, most of the bands seem to be more interested in Satan and goats than military history....

War Metal bands like Archgoat, Blasphemy and Deiphago are just Blackened Grindcore for the most part, though I have to admit War Metal sounds much more catchy. SS-18 definitely take the nuclear concept beyond any BM band I have come across so far, they sound like they are powering their guitars via nuclear reactors.
