Nurse is a great album! I saw Therapy with Girls Against Boys in the 90's, and they stole the show.

Own up Thomas, you used to have one of those red flowerpot hats - you wore it whilst listening to the latest wax cylinders of all that happening new swing music the other kids were into

The wax cylinders broke too easily, I was all for the magnetic wire. If you got tired of those you could recycle them as electric fences.

I know just about everyone chipped in with suggestions and most I completely agree with. I can't help but repeat many already made. Not sure which ones you would like out of these but hope you find a few to like.

Also, most of these are as much influenced/inspired by My Bloody Valentine as they are the Cocteau Twins.

OLD SCHOOL
1. My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
2. This Mortal Coil - It'll End In Tears
3. Curve - Blindfold EP, Frozen EP, Cherry EP
4. Lush - Scar, Sweetness And Light EP, Mad Love EP
5. Xmal Deutschland - Tocsin
6. Love Spirals Downwards - Idylls
7. Area - The Perfect Dream
8. Cranes - Wings of Joy
9. The Czars - Before... But Longer

NEW SCHOOL
1. Beach House - Bloom
2. Pinkshinyultrablast - Everything Else Matters
3. Blonde Redhead - Misery Is A Butterfly
4. Broadcast - The Noise Made By People
5. I Break Horses - Hearts
6. Stripmall Architecture - We Were Flying Kites
7. Grouper - Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill
8. Warpaint - The Fool
9. Them Are Us Too - Remain
10. Cemeteries - Barrow
11. Ulrich Schnauss - A Strangely Isolated Place, Quicksand Memory EP
12. M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts

Yeah. My ex-roommate was crazy. Seriously. We are not friends. But. He was a good looking chap and probably even more so when he dated Michael Stipe. I wish I would've been working there when the band played there but they were long gone and way famous by then. I think they originated in Athens, GA, like the B-52's, who also played there. It wouldn't even surprise me if both bands first gigs were played there :)

Whoa, that's awesome! It's funny but, when I was younger I only liked So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry) by them. I really hated them. Now, I think they're great, though I mostly prefer their earlier stuff.

Must've been pretty cool to see them at a high school basketball gym!
