I've just imbibed enough gin to make a lapsed nun blush, so please excuse this sentimental diatribe. I love this thread - as great as it is when someone digs your post, it is monumentally greater to find new stuff you haven't heard before. So, to all the regulars - Queen Janie, Dark Ekel, my lost bro Thomas, Matthew, LLibro, Horrorshow, Monsieur Fierce et al - thank you for giving me so much music that I missed, or forgot about, or was just plain ignorant of. I'll save you a spot in the hell that surely awaits us, until then stick The Stooges on.
Thank you, Stephen.
Best regards, Dark Ekel ;-).

Anybody ever seen the movie "Stay" from 2005 with Ryan Gosling, Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor, Bob Hoskins? It's a beautiful movie I've seen many, many times. There's a scene with the song "These Eyes" by The Guess Who or Burton Cummings that's especially touching. "I love this song" says Elizabeth Reaser. https://youtu.be/sw8nXCx5qgo

Yeah, wanted to comment, but I really don't know what to say. Wouldn't have thought it before, but really the world changed some this morning

The Thin White Duke dead at Jan 10, 2016. He was never knighted was he? I know you can't be knighted posthumously, but still. We should start a petition. You can knight Bob Geldof you can knight anybody. No talent mother f'cker. At least get Richard Branson to send his ashes into space. Sad. I was just watching his performance of "Ashes to Ashes" the other day [https://youtu.be/lNqo0kIR-TU ] and thought, wow!, he looks and sounds so good. Another creepy thing, out of the blue, I decided on a whim the other day to watch "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me." RIP David
Lodger was my intro to Bowie. My friends sister had it and we would play it at their pool. Scary Monsters was the first one I owned.
