I never got to see them live. The first Mars Volta is a classic. The later stuff is good, but can be a lot to absorb.

I know he is married to Nancy Wilson. Was Sigur in one of his movies perhaps?

The song at the end of Vanilla Sky (on the roof of the skyscraper) is "Njósnavélin" ("The Nothing Song") by Sigur Rós. The band also appears in one of the random still frames at the end of the movie.

Frankly, I have to be in the right mood for the vocals.

Don't know about Do It Again, but the movie is right.
Hint: it doesn't involve a song.

Another hint: "Naked Lunch" by William Burroughs

Haven't heard them in years but need to ;)

I used to have the coolest Butthole Surfers t-shirt and I've seen similarish ones but none exactly the same. It was one like the clown flipping off the world but it had 3 clowns on the front, all in purple with a bit of red on a white background. It probably would only fit about half of me now!...if I still own it/could find it! :)

I love John Grant! My friend (and singer of my band) took me to see him in SF right before Halloween. We've been fans of his since he was with The Czars. After the show, I met him, and his drummer, Budgie - originally from Siouxsie and the Banshees - and a roadie even game me one of his drumsticks. Queen of Denmark is my fave album by him. His music is incredible.
