I'm listening to this for the first time - I like it alot! Catch the Fall sounds like Roxy Music.
Count Raven - Storm Warning
I'm listening to a lot of doom metal these days.

The coming winter is a good time for that !

It's a 2-part TV film. A lot of cheesy glow stick green going on + Traci Lords!
"Oh wow, you had me at "Cheese", I gotta try and see this!"
:D
Don't expect too much. I could barely make it through the first half and still have the second part dvr'd to watch and I don't see myself racing to it anytime soon ;)

I've been a fan since they first started. In fact, my singer (and one of my best friends), John Kozak, has some super-rare stuff of theirs. A car commercial song in 7 or 10" if I remember right + other cool stuff.

I like that one, from their 1st single/1st album.

I've heard it but I don't have that one. I met Mick Karn and hung out backstage with him for about an hour at The Great American Music Hall with a couple of my friends and a handful of the audience from the show he performed. He was a very nice guy. Sad that he died so early.

Seaworthy + Matt Rösner - Two Lakes (Ambient)
Mac Demarco - Salad Days (Indie/Garage Rock)
*I got all 3 of these in the mail yesterday ;)

I'm sorry to hear that he's gone.

Really liked Aerosol Michael! They were new to me.

Nice choice. One of my favs. Very underrated."
Thanks, llibrro! I hadn't listened to the album for a long time, and now I don't think I can take it off the cd player!

Pixies are simply never wrong!
I'm nostalgia-indulging in Twice A Man - Decay.

I loooove the Pixies! But I am not familiar with Twice A Man - will have to give them a listen.

I couldn't agree more Thomas - I'm still in love with Kim Deal, so I'm sticking on :
The Breeders - Cannonball.
Cocteau Twins - Victorialand

Who's not in love with Kim? Cannonball is fantastic - one of the best "unknown" songs ever!

Good ears. I agree with the Roxy Music comparison. The Dolphin Brothers are like a quieter version. The singer, Steve Jansen, is David Sylvian's brother, both originally in Japan; very Roxy Music-influenced (particularly their 3rd & 4th albums.).

He was a class act and a special talent. Never took a bass lesson in his life and taught himself how to play fretless bass and to this day is considered one of the best on that instrument (along w/ Tony Levin from King Crimson & Pino Palladino from Paul Young's band). He also played sax, percussion, vocals, and lyrics, and was the bassist for Gary Neuman at one point and Japan, of course.
