That's a blast from the past! I haven't listened to him in quite some time, but I have some of his albums. That guy is a force of nature. :)

Are you familiar with his father, Peter Brotzmann? It must run in the family.

I am familiar with Peter. He's fierce as well. Admittedly I haven't listened to much of his stuff. I should perhaps listen to some soon.

Thomas Stroemquist (poorlonesomecowboy) Was listening to Pink Floyd - Dogs of War loud.
Wife said: I don't have patience for this today, I need something easier.

Me (slighly annoyed): OK, give me a suggestion?

Wife: Let's have some Nick Cave...

Suddenly it does not seem odd at all we've been together for 17 years..... :)

Actually that was a while ago - I was in Nick's home land at the time. We had just pondered it some (beating the 7 yr itch with a decade and so on.) Still, thanks Janie :) The album of choice was "Kicking Against the Pricks". Perhaps best not to try to read too much into that...

You're a lucky man, Thomas - my first wife had a horrible taste in music. She died after eating some toxic mushrooms. My second wife was obsessed with disco - she, too, died from eating poisonous fungi. My third wife, a Justin Bieber fanatic, passed away after a tremendous blow to the back of her skull with a blunt object (try as I might, I just couldn't get her to eat the mushrooms).

Thomas Stroemquist (poorlonesomecowboy) LOL - yes, it pays to give attention to details like that already in courting. Makes for less bother later on.

Sorry to say, Janie, but #4 mysteriously disappeared after acquiring some Katy Perry tickets; one of the detectives involved in the case confided in me that I was the unluckiest man he'd ever come across in twenty years of policing.

Thomas Stroemquist (poorlonesomecowboy) Karl: I'm sure you know it, but my favorite Cave is the ultimate cover: Leonard Cohen's Tower of Song as performed on the "I'm Your Fan" tribute album.

My current listen and tip :)
