In Moab, Utah on the way to Salt Lake City. Anybody seen Carnival of Souls? Grateful Dead - Friend of the Devil
Yep. Like David Lynch meets Hitchcock or something. Plan to find the original Salt Air remains where it was filmed.

So far, so good. I'm starting Disc 5.

Thanks, Janie! I'm on a roll (as you know or guessed...)
Now it's:
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
I too think that JC was a very cool guy, but touching Trent's original he did not!

He should've tried Closer. ;)

Nah - he 'tuned down' Hurt to begin with, and that was certainly one mistake...
I'm still in UK mode, so I went with:
The Housemartins - Sheep

When I was little (7 - 12 yrs old) I used to sneak downstairs after midnight while my parents were asleep and listen to this (as well as Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, Led Zeppelin IV, David Bowie's Young Americans, Stevie Wonder Live, etc.) on these big funky headphones until I fell asleep. This was one of my faves!
Janie wrote: "The Used - self-titled"Saw them live with my sister after their 1st album was released. They were one of her faves and back then they were comparing them to The Cure! :D

And I adore all that you mention Michael, yet I've never heard Funkadelic (as far as I can say), so now I know what I'll be listening to tomorrow as soon as work permits!
Thomas wrote: "Rain Tree Crow (The Album)"Nice. Blackwater is a great song though the entire album is really good.
Bill wrote: "In Moab, Utah on the way to Salt Lake City. Anybody seen Carnival of Souls? "The movie? Of course! Saw it on vhs in the 80's and again at the UC Theater in Berkeley, CA, before they closed it down.
Very cool with some great low-budget haunting cinematography.

Oh you will love it! Imagine Parliament doing a Pink Floyd song that was never released! ;)
John Grant - It Doesn't Matter To Him -Featuring Sinead O'Connor aka Mrs. John Grant (from his Pale Green Ghosts album).*I saw him live last Halloween, meeting him and his drummer, Budgie, originally from Siouxsie and the Banshees! ;)

LOL about sneaking upstairs.
My parents were pretty hip back then. My dad's stuck in dadrock mode these days and my mom seems to be stuck on Adele and Christina Aguilera but occasionally they both like some decent stuff; my dad likes the 1st song off of Caribou's Swim EP and my mom likes the 1st album by Empire of the Sun so I can't complain too much ;
