I intend to read at least 75 books, enter about 6-8 challenges and buy between 10-15 books. I've already started the New Years resolution with a few challenges the I've entered. I think I've entered 4 already and have 3 books on pre order. So I guess I'm off to a good start.
I'm keeping my goal at 50. I'm hoping to wrap up some if my challenges, then focus on 1 or 2. I want to read more books of my own choosing this year (versus BOMs, buddy reads, challenges...).
I will read the Lord of the Rings series. I've bought them, it's just such a commitment to read them.
I'm setting my goal at 100-150 books for 2014.

My goal for next year is to write more book reviews.I've been really horrible at writing reviews lately.
I intend to read up to 20 books in 2014, I've already bought 3 books online and they are on the way... :)
I haven't decided on my GoodReads challenge goal yet. 2012 I challenged myself to read 152 and ended up the year with 158. 2013 I upped it to 200 but with my new found love (playing GTA online) I just now finished my 200 right before Christmas. I can't decide if I want to keep my 200 and try not to play the game as much, or lower it and not read as much but play my game. Decisions, decisions!!
My 2014 New Year's Book Resolutions:* Participate in Nothing But Book Challenge's Animal Alphabet Reading Challenge.
* On 1/1/14, choose and post A-Z animal names. Update progress.
* Keep an online list of upcoming books TBR, dates of new book releases I'll want to get ASAP. List series I want to get back into, etc.
I've already entered into 11 challenges so far but I also wanted to add in my resolution to get up to date with a series or 2.
Well so far I've signed up for six Reading Challenges, hopefully that's it. I want to read 200-250 books for 2014. I would also like to read most of the books on my real life and virtual books shelves. I plan to buy more books but hate to just keep piling them on before getting to the ones I already have.

I pile 'em high on my shelf and I will read them in 2014.
I have a long list of book resolutions, eek.- My overall goal 120 Books. I made it to 115 last year, so I think I can make it!
- I want to read at least one non-fiction book a month.
- I'm focusing on my dusty books that I've had forever and haven't read AND on finishing/catching-up on series.
I'm planning to stick to yearly or open-ended challenges and buddy reads this year so I can have more freedom to read what I want when I want. Last year I would get bored with a book and get in a funk because I needed it for a monthly challenge - then I wouldn't read for weeks. Not good! haha
lol! Book resolutions aren't any easier than other resolutions. :) Your resolution could always be to read more!
My resolutions is to finish the challenges I have recently started and to actually make a dent in my mountain of a to-be-read list. Oh and actually manage to write a sentence or two between all that reading. :-)
My goal is to read 100 books during 2015. I want to expand my reading horizons, and become more engulfed in genres I don't read as often. I also want to try to get over my silly fear oc challenges and do more.
My goal is to write up a review of every book I read. This is something I rarely do because I'm so self concious about how short and lacking in detail my reviews are. A number of books goal isn't something I'm so interested in but I may just make it 50 books. Reduce my spending on physical books and either borrow more from the library or buy more E-books. Not my preferred method of reading but the lack of physical space demands I reduce the number of books I own.

Okay it's that time again. So we all know New Years is a time people make resolutions to loose weight, eat healthier, exercise more, etc. Well, we want to hear what your New Years Book Resolutions are. So set yourself a goal to read a certain number of books, to enter a certain amount of challenges, or to buy a set number of books this coming year. You don't have to list your progress here. We have plenty of places/challenges where you can track your progress. Just declare your intentions here and at the end of 2014 we'll see how everyone did.
