Yes I was going to say that before, I read The Kite Runner over a year ago and think that my memory of it will have faded enough by the time I pick up A Thousand Splendid Suns. I think I need a break between most authors, but some favourite ones I can read in succession.

No not at all Charbel! It was a most informative - and I suspect realistic - review. I never let anyone put me off a book completely, just delay it a bit so that I can read other things. And I hope others feel the same way if I've written a negative review. After all, that's mostly what they're for, to give our personal reactions :) So thank you!

You had some pretty long books in that section -- Don Quixote, for example!
Books left in my challengeFiction Part 1: 8 books
Fiction Part 2: 1 book
Classics Part 2: 3 books
Non Fiction Part 2: 1 book
Series: 1 book
All About Women: 3 books
Total: 16 books left.
Finished the series part of my challenge. I can take pride in having reread the entire Song of Ice and Fire series, considering that each book of the series is bigger than a brick.

Thanks Leslie! And I've already read 60 out of my 100 books 2014 goal. I'm a bit behind but I think that by the end of September I should be well ahead.
I just finished The Bell Jar. It was a good read. A very heavy book. I only gave it three stars though, because i wasn't fond of Plath's writing style.
