Final thoughts as we close the last chapter.
What other Eleanor of Aquitaine books have you enjoyed? How did this one compare?

Oops..!
And I saw the whole long list for Plantagenet series; I thought it was a trilogy.
I figure she saved all the historical meaty details for that series, & saved this novel as Eleanor's POV.
And Petronilla disappears in this story, hello..
It was a good novel but I know that there is so much more.. Yet to get it all packed into one novel would be impossible. I guess I'm being wishy washy! ;)

MaryKatherine (opheliaellie131) | 202 comments I agree with you, Marie-it was a great read but I just want more now! Eleanor is fascinating to me and, though a lot of her story is quite sad, a lot is also inspiring. She did what almost no other noble woman of her time would dare to do-go on crusade, travel to various counties, govern effectively, and survive having had so many children. Actually, the fact that she lived as long as she did is inspiring in itself! I need to check out more of Plaidy's Plantagenet titles. Also, do you have specific recommendations for great reads about Eleanor?

I'm on my mobile right now, but if you go to my blog at burtonbookreview.com
The top toolbar has a master review list, click there & there are some in the Eleanor sub category. Then if on full web version you can search the label/categories on the left side -- drop down list for Eleanor

I did it, I'm so proud of myself!! It'll go live in a few days. It's so hard to find time to do the nitty gritty blog work these days, & I don't particularly enjoy the task any longer :(

MaryKatherine (opheliaellie131) | 202 comments Oh, I'm so sorry to hear it! I've read that a lot of bloggers feel they need a break after awhile. They want to read something with no blogging strings attached, I suppose. i can understand
