Finished this chapter! I am intrigued again by Becket! The man takes the Church seriously.

MaryKatherine (opheliaellie131) | 202 comments I am intrigued as well. Despite Becket's love of finery, he really does love God and the church. It's interesting how much Henry's pride is hurt by this. He sees the world in black and white-if his beloved friend does not support him as King first, then Becket must be a troublemaker.
