@Tatiana Aw that sucks. Yeah there has been a lot of really disappointing final books to many trilogies lately. I wonder why that is. :/

Yeah I find that too Tatiana. Some trilogies should just be left as duologies in my opinion.

It was horrendous. Don;t think i'd be brave enough to go through with it after seeing what it was like.

2. Why do you think someone reanimated Amy early? Do you think they were just messing about? Did they intend to kill her?
I can't remember why they did it (if it ever came to light) from the last time i read it, but i think it might have been to see if the way they defrosted them worked. She was a non essential, so it to them, it might not have mattered if she died.

3. How would you react knowing that you were reanimated early, and that you would be older than your parents by the time they wake up?
I'd freak out. To be frozen for 301 years to be with your family, is hard enough, but to be frozen for 250 years, and find out that it would be years before you see them, is horrible. (hide spoiler)]

I finished and in my opinion it was a good start to the series. I wasn't really surprised when they found out (view spoiler)[who was unplugging the frozens. It was anticlimactic. Probably because I already had my bets on him! Oh, well. (hide spoiler)] Excited to read the sequels! :)

After 10: Slooooow. (view spoiler)[The first scene with the cryogenic freezing was fascinating. And I think it was great that her dad let her choose for herself. I'm a little surprised that Amy chose to go with her parents into the future.

Being aware for 300 years would seriously stink. I think you would go crazy. It would be like solitary confinement without even physical stimulation.

I found the ship scenes and the dream scenes slow, but hopefully it will pick up soon. (hide spoiler)]

6,500 acres on Feeder Deck. That is a huge ship, but I grew up on an island and some people don't care, but it drives some people crazy. I would think being confined to a ship would be worse.

I'm sure they have UV and light control but I can't imagine never seeing the sky and stars in my lifetime! Why wouldn't they have a skyscape like in Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas with painted clouds and the light and colors change to correspond to the time of day. Maybe the scientists couldn't be bothered with the aesthetics.

And I can't wait to hear how they control procreation. And the mother would obviously know and everyone who saw her pregnant, so I'm surprised Elder's parentage could be kept secret.

Orion could've found the hidden level on a ship map, but how did he know the 4th floor door was unlocked? Why does he have scars?

I don't think Amy would've ended up going if she lived for another year before being frozen, especially if she'd grown used to being apart from her parents.

Poor Amy, to get up trapped awake on the ship without her parents for 49 years and 266 days.

Eldest sending Elder to his room by noise modification enhancer to Elder's wi-com. Bully and jerk with a God-complex. Then Eldest considers "depositing Amy to the stars." I'm not liking him.

So is the mono-ethnicity just for harmony on the ship, because the sleepers are of various ethnicities.

Oh, oh, another sleeper awoken, but with no alarm, he dies. Hmmm, serial killer in space?

I'm glad Elder got to see the stars, but sad that someone had to die.

Reaction of the Feeders to Amy when she went running was hostile. I would think like isolated cultures without interaction to outsiders, they are usually curious and reserved or friendly, not hostile. What's up with grabbing "weapons" and aggressively confronting her.

Eldest's announcement is just another jerky thing.

Nancy Drew would be proud of Amy going to the scene of the crime and looking for clues. Fingerprints and making a case board of victims. Why? The other dead Elder would match the fingerprint ID. (hide spoiler)]

This is not my kind of story but I will give it a try...
I don't have many expectations: I hope it will be an easy read and that it doesn't have a cliffhanger...

i finished a few days ago and i thought it was really good; in my opinion the books get better, though. when (view spoiler)[harley died, though, i was really sad, because i really liked him and it seemed like such a waste to see him go (hide spoiler)]. i honestly didn't like elder throughout most of the book, but i thought amy was great. she acted realistically to the incredibly tough situation she was placed in. usually i don't like sci-fi or romance, but this was an exception.

It was horrible but the worse for me is have to choose between my family and the life I have on Eath.

It's a mistery. Maybe a confussion or meybe like @Abbt said it is a test to see if it is possible awake the people.

I'd really freak out. Specially because I can be dead before they wake up! and be older than my parents! Seems like the tv show "Once upon a Time!

1. The freezing process seems horrible but being conscious while frozen and not being able to move.
2.I think they did that to cause chaos.
3.I would probably be angry and would live in the storage area guarding the others while they sleep.
