Okay guys so here we can let others know about books we've read or are reading that are similar to the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series!

The Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld always reminds me of the PJO series for some reason. It's a steampunk ya trilogy based on an alternate reality set before WW1 where there are two types of powers in the world - the Darwinists and the Clankers, one which uses Animal hybrids and one which uses machines.

You're probably thinking 'this sounds nothing like PJO' but it's not really the plot that makes them similar, it's more the characters. They start off young and go through a lot of growth through the trilogy just like in PJO and they discover things about themselves they never knew. I don't know why, but that sense of youth and excitement at the beginning, getting darker and more serious as the books go on reminds me a lot of PJO.

Thirteen-year-old Jack McKinley was a normal kid leading a normal life—totally unaware that he was about to die. He's cursed with a genetic abnormality that's giving him amazing powers too quickly for his body to handle. Jack's only hope: Find the seven lost Loculi that were hidden in the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World by the last prince of Atlantis. Only they contain the magic to save him—and the world.

Jack reminds me of Percy a bit, and his friends remind me of Annabeth and Grover and the professor reminds me of Chiron... These series are so alike!! I would definitely recommend the Seven Wonders to anyone who liked PJO and/or HOO.

Rick Riordan calls Seven Wonders “a high-octane mix of modern adventure and ancient secrets. The Colossus Rises is Lerangis’s most gripping work yet. Young readers will love this story. I can’t wait to see what’s next in the Seven Wonders series!”

Once again, thi series is really good, and I highly suggest you read it.

яєуηα™ (reynatm) The Cronus Chronicles. (I think that's how you spell it.))
It's also about Greek mythology and the first book is about a girl named Charlotte and a boy named Zee, who goes to the underworld to save the shadows that were stollen from the people at their school. The first book is called the Shadow Thieves. The first chapter or two can be really boring, but when you get through that part, it's absolutely amazing, and I love the ending.

YES! Skullduggery Pleasant is really similar! Artemis Fowl is similar as well. (Haven't read any of the other series though....)

I think that a series that is similar is Lockwood and Co. It's about a small ghost hunting agency (Lockwood and Co) in London. It is really funny and the jokes give me Percy vibes!
