message 151: by Bree (new)

Bree "There was a vampire in here," Ryan said as he walked around the room. The scent didn't reach out to Ryan's side of the room... It was more strong on Kiernan's side of the room. Ryan's hand brushed across her bed slowly as he tried to figure out the reason for them coming in here.

message 152: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan shook his head. "It's a different vampire. It's not like any of the one's from before," he said and the confusion showed on his face. What would another vampire be doing in here anyway? Ryan looked back over to her and found her right behind him and surprisingly close. "They're gone now, so we're safe for now," he said.

message 153: by Bree (new)

Bree "I don't have the answers to everything, Kiernan. If I knew why, I would gladly tell you why my kind wants you dead," Ryan said then he shook his head. "We should get ready. The party starts in an hour and a half," he said.

message 154: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan watched her walk into the bathroom, then he walked back over to his bag of stuff. He grabbed his suit as well then laid it on his bed with the shoes that he was going to wear as well as his mask. He stripped out of his clothes then put on his tuxedo. He stood in front of a mirror, then he adjusted his bow tie once he had it tied. He put on his jacket as well, then his shoes. He put on his last shoe and was finishing buttoning his jacket when he saw Kiernan come out of the bathroom in her dress. He was speechless again.

message 155: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan hadn't realized he was staring at her until she asked him 'What'? "You look really nice," he admitted.

message 156: by Bree (new)

Bree "Oh, right," Ryan said and he was, for once, forgetful. He grabbed his mask and put it on as well. Ryan opened the for Kiernan and said with a white grin "Shall we go?"

message 157: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan closed the door behind her then he walked beside her out to his car. He opened the door for her helping her into his car, then he closed the door. He got in on his side of the car then he started the engine and drove towards where the ball was being held.

message 158: by Bree (new)

Bree As they neared the mansion, Ryan began to gain back the creeping and unpleasant sense of deja vu from before. Ryan soon pulled up into the long drive way of the mansion. There were plenty of cars parked out front anyway, and the people that were getting out of their vehicles were dressed in similar outfits to the one Ryan and Kiernan had. What really set everyone apart was the masks that were being worn.

message 159: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan got out of the car as well then locked it. He tucked the keys in one of his pockets, then he walked over to Kiernan's side. He laced his arm around her's and brought her close to him. "This way, no one's going to try anything funny. You're safer when you're closer to me," he said to her then the doors to the mansion were opened by a butler. Or at least, it looked like a butler, but he was fairly young. He looked to be around Ryan's age, but he was dressed in a fine pressed tuxedo.

message 160: by Bree (new)

Bree "Invitation?" The butler asked formally.

Ryan had the invitation in his hand then he passed it to the butler.

The butler unfolded the invitation to look it over, then he handed it back to Ryan. He looked to Kiernan and said "The master is most eager to make your acquaintance." The butler stepped aside letting them both enter.

Ryan pulled Kiernan closer to him then he lead her inside. He didn't have to look over at the butler to know that he was eyeing Kiernan closely.

message 161: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan walked with Kiernan up a set of stairs. Along the walls were several paintings dating back to the Enlightenment, as well as the Renaissance era. When they arrived at the top of the stairs, they walked down a hallway. In the hallway, there were several small clusters of people mingling. Ryan looked over at them from the corner of his eye. It was a mix of vampires and humans in each group. The tone of the vampires when they talked was overly friendly, and very alluring.

message 162: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan could feel her start to clam up and her heart beat race. He looked over at her, and said "Don't worry about them. No one's going to hurt you." He opened the door that lead to the ball room where most of the guests were gathered. This group of humans who were there were well aware of the vampires that were there, but their memories of this night would be erased to keep the vampire existence a secret. A nearby woman stroked the neck of a nearby human boy, then she suddenly bit into his neck. The boy groaned in pleasure, then grasped hold of her holding her closer to him.

message 163: by Bree (new)

Bree "You'll be fine," Ryan said. This place was making him ancy and that feeling of Deja vu was being a bastard right now. The scent of the guy who invited Kiernan was all over this place, and it was starting to iritate Ryan since he felt like he should know it, but he couldn't put a finger on where he'd noticed it before. The dance floor had begun to clear up, and the vampires and humans who were on it were beginning to cling to the outer parts of the ballroom. Their conversations didn't end, and neither did the feeling of blood.

message 164: by Bree (new)

Bree ( I don't think a succubus would work for this roleplay, but I love the idea of having one in a roleplay of our's. Do you want to have another roleplay with your Succubus? )

message 165: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan noticed that her nerves weren't getting any better, then he sighed. He gently grasped hold of her hand, then he brought her hand up to his lips. "Care to join me for one dance?" he asked her. He smiled a dazzling white and charming smile.

The butler from before that was at the door had returned to the ballroom, then went to the VIP area. He walked over to a man seated on a couch with a human girl on his lap. "Our guest of honor is here," he said quietly to her.

message 166: by Bree (new)

Bree ( I'll make a thread for us. )

message 167: by Bree (new)

Bree "Don't worry, everyone will be too distracted by my amazing dancing to notice your awful dancing," Ryan said. His hand grasped hold of her waist pulling her close, then his other hand gently intertwined with her hand. He began to waltz with her to the sound of the symphonic music being played.

message 168: by Bree (new)

Bree "Being a vampire has nothing to do with being a good dancer. I was a good dancer even as a human," Ryan said pointedly. He began to slowly lose any interest in where they were, and who was possibly watching them. He felt content with having Kiernan dancing with him, even if it was in a house full of vampires that could kill them both.

message 169: by Bree (new)

Bree "You still have much to learn," Ryan said with a smirk back at her. Once the song ended, he was going to insist that they dance for another song, but a tap on his shoulder made him turn around.

The butler from before was back, and said "My master has requested to see you both."

message 170: by Bree (new)

Bree As the butler lead them both away from the more crowded part of the ballroom, Ryan continued to hold onto Kiernan's hand. He wasn't sure why, but he had a feeling that something bad was going to happen. He didn't let it show in his face, but his eyes weren't the same case.

message 171: by Bree (new)

Bree Liam sat on the couch in the VIP lounge with his feet resting comfortably on the coffee table before him, and his hand supporting his chin with his elbow propped on the couch's armrest. His golden eyes lit up immediately when he saw Kiernan walk into the VIP. Then he noticed Ryan... His lips curved at the corners when he saw the two together. Things would be very interesting indeed. "So good to see you again, Kiernan. You seem different now, but nonetheless, you are still as ravishing as you were that night," he said.

Ryan hissed at what Liam said to Kiernan. He instinctively pulled Kiernan closer to him, and slowly put her behind him. "Stop wasting our time. You know why we're here, so let's get on with it already, Liam" he said. Then he realized something: he'd never seen this person before, but he knew his name.

message 172: by Bree (new)

Bree "I can see why I never found interest in your kind for many years," Liam said then he sighed. "You're all so impatient, and you never want to have fun unless you ruin someone else's goodtime." He then stood up. "And I expected more from you. Especially since we're family," he said, but he wasn't looking at Kiernan. He was looking at Ryan.

Ryan's hiss became a growl, then his canines grew. "Stop making up lies and buying yourself some time. We're not family," he said.

message 173: by Bree (new)

Bree "Very well, you want to see your sister?" Liam asked in a fake exasperated tone. Then he looked over to Ryan. "Show her to her sister," he ordered him. His tone of voice suddenly became more enticing and seemed to be more overpowering then the music being played.

"I don't need to take orders---" Ryan's voice suddenly was cut off as he slowly began to comply. His growl still emanated in his throat, but he slowly detached himself from Kiernan. He wasn't sure how he knew where Lily was, but he left to go retrieve her.

message 174: by Bree (new)

Bree (( To clarify: Lily is already dead? ))

message 175: by Bree (new)

Bree Liam smirked. Oddly enough, it was the same smirk that Ryan always had on his lips when Kiernan did or said something that amused him. He lifted up his finger and shook it making a tsk noise. "Language, Kiernan, language," he said then he looked over to Ryan as he came into the room. "Ah, and here's your sister with your friend now," he said.

Ryan dragged Lily into the VIP area where Liam and Kiernan were. The smell of Lily's blood filled his nose from the open wound that she had on her forehead. Once he had brought Lily to Kiernan, and he released her, he immediately lunged at Liam and seized him up by his throat. "You don't fucking control me," he growled.

message 176: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan returned back to them both. Along with him, was a girl who he assumed was Lily. She had a scabbed over cut on the side of her neck from where Ryan believed that she was fed from. Her racing heart beat had a pounding noise that filled his ears as he returned to Liam and Kiernan.

Liam had a smug grin on his face now, then he said "Well done, little brother, well done."

Ryan's teeth grinded against each other as his jaw clenched. He wasn't in control of his actions right now, and he had no idea why that was.

message 177: by Bree (new)

Bree "Why must there be a reason about why I left you alive. You're aware of what I am, and you should know that I've been alive for a long time. After so many years of immortality, I've grown bored. You can imagine my excitement when I have a human express that she has feelings for me. Now that, made my boring solitude and empty life a lot more interesting," Liam said as he paced back and forth, then he walked toward Kiernan and stood before her. Not within arm's reach, but much too close for comfort. "And imagine my surprise, when I learn that she has a daughter. You were her weak spot, and I made you a pawn in my game."

message 178: by Bree (new)

Bree Liam's hand reached up and caught hold of her hand. He tsked under his breath then he said "You better behave, because if any harm should come to me, or if continue to insult me, I'll have no other choice but to kill Lily," Liam said then he released Kiernan's hand. Then he walked over to Ryan who had been so good about being quiet since he was under Liam's control. "And there's you, my little brother. After so many years, I had almost forgotten that you had ever existed. Somehow, you're alive, but I don't plan on letting you live," he said.

"Go to hell!" Ryan growled loudly.

message 179: by Bree (new)

Bree "And who's going to stop me? You? You're only a human. I'm surprised that you've lasted this long being one of the few humans who know about my kind," Liam said to her then he looked to Ryan. "But considering that you had my brother as your loyal servant, I can see why you'd survive. I wonder how many bed frames you two have broken," he said with a twisted and satisfied grin. He grabbed of Lily's arm then pulled her away from Kiernan. "But one thing that my little brother and I both have in common, is that we're awful liars," he said then he tore into the flesh of her neck suddenly.

Ryan broke free of Liam's control then he attacked Liam. He caught his brother off guard, but nonetheless, Liam was an expert fighter as much as Ryan was.

message 180: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan had looked over at Kiernan when she said screamed and begun to cry. In that moment when he wasn't paying attention, Liam suddenly had the upperhand against Ryan and had his brother down on his knees. Liam's arms were constricted around his brother's head tightly in the similar manner that Ryan would use to snap someone's neck or decapitate them. Liam's canines were fully extended as he forced Ryan's gaze to look at his human pet. "You see, little brother? You screw everything up for everyone. Maybe you're more a monster than me. You lead a girl to believe that she had any hope of saving her friend," he said menacingly to his brother's ear. "Now watch her die," he said. Several of Liam's guards had joined the fight and had seized Kiernan up by her arms.

message 181: by Bree (new)

Bree Liam

Ryan's growl that rumbled in his chest suddenly became louder when he saw Kiernan be grabbed by Liam's goons. His hands that had been gripping onto Liam's arms while his fingers dug into his skin causing blood to flow moved and he suddenly grabbed hold of Liam by his own head. "I'm...not...you're...fucking..little..brother!" he shouted in a snarl then he snapped Liam's neck and felt Liam collapse onto the ground. Ryan pushed Liam's body off of him then he stood before Liam's guards. The look in his eyes was terrifying enough to make Liam's guards cringe and show some signs of fear in their face. Suddenly the windows of Liam's house shattered as people began to fly and jump through them. The people who were in the house began to scream while the vampires snarled and fought off the intruders. The guards let go of Kiernan and went to deal with the problem leaving Ryan to Kiernan.

message 182: by Bree (new)

Bree The people who had jumped into Liam's house through the windows reeked, Ryan noticed. And when he looked over to see why, he immediately recognized what kind of creatures these people were. Werewolves. Several of the intruders had already shifted into their wolf forms and were ripping the vampires apart. One of the werewolves had finished tearing apart a vampire with blood caking its muzzle, and was now looking at Kiernan. Ryan was immeidately at her side and he put an arm around her and pulled her close to his chest. He growled at the werewolf threateningly. The werewolf seemed to lose interest, for it ran off to fight another vampire. Ryan's shirt was wet with blood. Some from Liam, but most from Ryan. He let go of Kiernan, then he went over to Lily, and scooped her off of the ground and carried her over his shoulder.

message 183: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan followed after her while carrying her dead friend. After a while, the number of vampires in the house had dwindled since several of them had fled from the party. All the humans who were there had died as well, aside from Kiernan. It was only werewolves left in the house now, so when the door that was their only was out was blocked, a werewolf stood before them refusing to let them pass. It was a different one from before, but like most werewolves, it wasn't too happy about seeing a vampire. While the werewolf growled at Ryan, Ryan hissed back at it. "Get out of the way," he threatened not too kindly or patiently.

message 184: by Bree (new)

Bree There was a laugh from behind Kiernan. One of the werewolves had shifted back to their human form. She walked closer to Kiernan and Ryan, but was facing her wolf's front side so he could see his alpha. "Let them go," she ordered. "Besides, we're not done marking our territory," she said. The werewolf padded away from the front door past Kiernan and Ryan, then returned to his alpha's side. Ryan wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone since he had Lily's dead body, Kiernan, and his own injuries to deal with. He walked out of the house and walked over to where his car was. He put Lily's body in the trunk, then he helped Kiernan into the passenger side.

message 185: by Bree (new)

Bree Once they were all in Ryan's car, he drove away from the house. He knew that the police wouldn't be called to invesitage since the supernatural world preferred to keep humans as out of the loop as they could. The werewolves there would more than likely clean up the mess of the vampires and call it a day. Ryan hadn't had the chance to feed for a while, now that he realized it, and since Kiernan had blood all over her, he found it difficult to focus without looking over at her.

message 186: by Bree (new)

Bree "Even the most powerful of vampires have some trouble being in a house like Liam's that had so much blood in it," Ryan said after he looked away from her deliberately. "You're hurt too, Kiernan. I can smell your blood," he said through clenched teeth. He wasn't sure how it was possible for him to be so tempted to feed now. Ryan had already been with Kiernan when she bled before, but this time was somehow different..

message 187: by Bree (new)

Bree "Just because I'm thirsty doesn't mean I'm going to run someone over. I'm not that kind of a monster," Ryan said to her. He didn't want to admit it, but feeding from her would be the best and quickest solution to quenching his thirst. Ryan nodded his head then he said "Fine." He pulled off to the side of the road, then cut the engine. When he looked over at Kiernan, he wasn't looking at her neck, he was looking at her face. Why was she so willing to offer herself up for him?

message 188: by Bree (new)

Bree "Your wrist would work fine. Let me know if it hurts or if you feel dizzy," Ryan said to her. He had half a mind to take her hand immediately and feed right then and there, but he disciplined himself otherwise. He wouldn't lose control yet. He wasn't like Liam...

message 189: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan's cold hands brushed against Kiernan's forearm and wrist as he pulled her arm closer to him. His eyes raked across Kiernan's limb and then he found a bluisgh vein under her skin that would give him a sufficient amount of blood. Ryan's lips lowered down to her wrist, then he slowly bit into her skin. When her blood droplets landed on his tongue, the taste exploded in his mouth, and he groaned in satisfaction from the taste. He lapped her blood then he pressed his lips to her wrist and fed.

message 190: by Bree (new)

Bree "Kiernan..." Ryan groaned in satisfaction from tasting her blood. His eyes lifted up from his gaze on her arm to Kiernan's gaze. His eyes were red now from the taste of blood that was filling his being. The look in his gaze was a mix of wanting to preserve something, and wanting to destroy something.

message 191: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan's eyes blinked before he retracted his lips and his fangs from Kiernan's wrist. His tongue flicked out to lick her wound, then he moved his head back and wiped his lips with the back of his hand. Slowly, the wound on Kiernan's wrist healed leaving only a faint scar. "Thanks," he said. The wounds that he had sustained from fighting Liam were gone now.

message 192: by Bree (new)

Bree "It took me a while to figure out that vampire saliva can heal, and it's also kind of disgusting because of how the story turns out," Ryan said with a smirk on his lips from the memory that flickered through his mind. "You taste pretty good by the way," he said to her with a side smile then he turned the car back on and merged onto the road.

message 193: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan looked over at Kiernan from the corner of his eye. He flashed his fangs at her in a grin as he said in a mischevious growl "You want a taste?" He chuckled then he looked away from her. Ryan followed the road to a cemetery then he pulled into a parking spot. Ryan wasn't exactly sure if this is where Kiernan had in mind, but he figured that she wasn't fond of having her dead friend's body in the trunk of their car.

message 194: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan got out of the driver side of the car. He went to go open the trunk, then he looked over to Kiernan who was frozen in place where she stood. "Crap..." he thought to himself when he remembered that Kiernan's mother was dead, and now her friend was too. Ryan walked over to her side and placed a hand on her shoulder. He wasn't sure what to say since he couldn't possibly relate or imagine what she was thinking right now, so he remained silent.

message 195: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan nodded his head then he walked over to her side joining her. He scooped Lily's body into his arms carrying as a groom would carry his bride. He had a shovel in the back of his car already in case he needed to hide the dead body of a vampire that would be giving a hard time. He closed the trunk to his car when Kiernan had picked up the shovel. He walked with Kiernan at his side to go pick out a grave site spot for her dead best friend.

message 196: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan followed after Kiernan to where she wanted to burry her friend. Beside the spot, he noticed a grave with a tombstone with the enscribed name of someone he didn't recognize. He recognized Kiernan's last name, so he knew that it must have been her mother. "Ah hell..." he thought to himself then he set Lily's body down. he took the shovel from her grasp then quickly dug a grave for Lily's body.

message 197: by Bree (new)

Bree Once Ryan had finished digging Lily's grave, Ryan set the shovel down, then met Kiernan's gaze. Again, he was left speechless by all of this. It was strange. He had seen many dead corpses, yet this one in particular seemed to touch his unseating heart the most. He picked up Lily's body then hopped down into the grave. He laid her body down closing her eyes with his hand, then he hopped back out.

message 198: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan picked up the shovel and began to use to it to pile dirt into Lily's grave. There was no words exchanged between him or Kiernan, but he didn't need any to know that she was broken and was depressed because of her friend's death. Once he finished burying Lily, he gently patted the dirt with the shovel then he took a step back so he was standing beside Kiernan. He looked over at her from the corner of his eye. "Do you want to say something for her?" he asked.

message 199: by Bree (new)

Bree "If it's alright with you, I'd like to say something," Ryan said meeting her gaze. He looked away from Kiernan and looked at Lily's grave. He'd hardly known her, so it wasn't like he could really say anything that would highlight some part of her. He knew her well enough to know that she and Kiernan were close enough for Kiernan to go and risk her life to save her from Liam. Ryan sighed quietly, then he said "Death will happen for us all at one point in our lives. It'll leave a heartache for someone that can't ever be healed. From what I've seen, Lily left a memory of love for Kiernan that can't ever be taken away." When Ryan finished talking, he looked to Kiernan.

message 200: by Bree (new)

Bree Ryan went down onto his knees beside her and placed an arm around her holding her close to him. Her small body shook in his grasp from her crying and sobbing. He had promised that he would let her have her revenge on the man who killed her mother. He wouldn't break his promise yet. Liam deserved to go to hell and burn for what he had done to Kiernan.
