Hi Zara! I've read seven of the books that you've picked for me. :/ I've read Dare You To, He Loves Lucy, both of the books under travel and spending time with family and friends, and the Body Finder. They're all on their correct shelves. My RRRChallenge2013 shelf is for all the books that I've read for different challenges to go toward my count. Sorry for all the trouble.

message 111: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments hi Shelby
Here are your picks, I saw that you wanted me to use your GB shelf as much as possible, so for the new recs I tried to keep them m/m focused - but a few girlie parts did slip in, since I haven't read a lot of m/m recently...

1. Lose Weight: Help your pickee lose some of what is weighing them down! Pick a longer book, preferably off their to-read shelf.
Sunrise at 406 pgs it’s a bit of a chunker, as is
Dark Horse at 384 (personally, I never finished it, but people keep recommending it to me, so maybe it will work for you)

2. Get in Shape:
Training Season – Leta Blake
Double Full – Kindle Alexander

3. Save Money:
The Backup Boyfriend – I haven’t read this yet, but its loanable through Amazon if you are interested (and then I’ll read after and maybe we can chat about it?) – its also free through the Prime lending

4. Eat Better:
Gingerbread Palace – I haven’t read it, but it looks intriguing and not on your TBR
Hot in Here – girlie bits alert, but I’ll never look at Gelato the same way again

5. Travel:
Finding Zach – partially set in Venezuala
Spokes– set in Italy – buddy read?

6. Spend Time with Family and Friends:
Acquainted with the Night – not the typical friends and family and also a tear-jerker
Exclusively Yours – girlie bits alert, but a cute read

7. Enjoy Life More:
Welcome to Paradise – Rosalind James – sorry it has girlie bits, but she is probably one of my favorite new authors I have discovered this year
A Love Worth Biting For – PNR with vampire/werewolves, also girlie bits sorry

8. Get Organized:
Sticks & Stones – on your shelf as of July
Lord of the Fading Lands – not on your identified shelf, but I’ve heard really good things about it

thanks Mary Ann - I'm def. going to try for Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes and Making Faces

message 113: by Shelby (new)

Shelby (stang_lee) | 1970 comments Yay Dee thank you!!! And don't mind the girlie bits. I do read both. :) I've just been focused on the M/M lately due mostly to challenges. The Scavenger Hunt made reading most anything else challenging. So now that that's ending I'm going to try to fit in a girlie bit or two. :D

message 114: by Dee (last edited Dec 23, 2013 10:52AM) (new)

Yes, Zara - you need to do repicks for the books she has read. Remember to check which shelf the books are on, just click view when you are looking at her bookshelves and it should list all the shelves she has books listed on.

ETA: I just looked at your picks and you gave her multiple options. As long as 4 were new and four were from her TBR, you are OK. You are going to have to check to make sure. If you want to do more, you can though.

Nan (xxmzsmilesxx) | 84 comments Hi Logan, here are your picks. I know you like YA but my picks are mostly NA and AF. Also some books may be beyond your comfort zone so just be prepared!

1. Lose Weight:
Evernight by Claudia Gray (Your TBR)- 327 Pages which isn't that much. I really really enjoyed reading this series.

Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (Your TBR) - 448 Pages which is longer then the book above. I really liked this book and have been meaning to continue reading this series.

2. Get in Shape:
Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken (NEW) - I bawled. Like seriously the ugly-my-life-is-over crying. Maybe I'm emotional but this was such an AMAZING read. The sport aspect is important but there are more important things in the boook.

It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (NEW) - I haven't read it yet but I heard good things about it. Maybe try it out and tell me how it goes? :D

3. Save Money:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (NEW)

Rush by Maya Banks (NEW)

Both of these books are on your TBR shelf and I haven't read either of them as well. Try one of them out and tell me how it goes!

4. Eat Better:
Playing for Keeps by R.L. Mathewson (NEW)

Perfection by R.L. Mathewson (NEW)

The men in this series are RIDICULOUSLY obsessed with food. I mean it is so bad that they are literally banned from fast food & grocery shops. LOL

5. Travel:
On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves (NEW) - This is one of my favourite reads of this year! I loved reading this novel and would re-read it again! It would motivate you not to travel but it's worth that trauma ahahaha

The Storyteller by Antonia Michaelis (NEW) - This is set somewhere in Germany (I think) and it is really really dark! The writing style of this book is so unique.

6. Spend Time with Family and Friends:
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover (NEW) - Just read it. The stellar ratings of this book is well deserved.

Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken (NEW) - Read it!
Kick-ass Heroine ✔
Possessive-Jealous-Alpha Hero ✔
Crazy family ✔
Scary/Cute/Cuddly Dragon ✔ ✔ ✔

7. Enjoy Life More:
Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma (NEW) - This is something uncomfortable for many to read about. There is incest involved and a relationship that is outside of social norm. It's dark, twisted and I loved every second of it.

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire (NEW) - Really entertaining to read. It is cliche but it is a cliche that is definitely well done!

Captive in the Dark by C.J. Roberts (NEW) - This is seriously messed up but for some messed up reason I enjoyed it!

8. Get Organized:
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder (Your TBR) - One of the best YA Fantasy series I have ever read! It's amazing!

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (Your TBR) - All time favourite series ever! I loved it and have harassed and hounded every one of my friends to read it.

I hope you enjoy your picks and Happy Holidays!! :D

Logan, i'll second Nandar;s recommendation of Forbidden - its one of those books that has stuck with me and I read it nearly 2 years ago when it first came out - I think the author did a brillent job of walking a fine line
