Hayley wrote: "I just started reading The Count of Monte Cristo, may the force be with me getting through this clunker lol."I read it when I was a teenager (probably in a day or 2 ), I don't remember it being long but it's chunkster ! But I remember loving it. Good luck , Hayley!
I hope you enjoy Dark Places ShoSho!So far, it's good, I've read the first 5 Chapters. A lot of people said it's very tedious and hard to read but I don't find it too hard to read at all... At first, we had the bridged version, which was SUPER easy, but we knew something was off, so we got the unabridged version that has all the Chapters in it.
But, so far, so good :)
Wow, ShoSho, you're a lot farther in the Kowalski series than I am. I have #6 checked out now from the library, but haven't gotten to it.
Lisa Kay wrote: "Wow, ShoSho, you're a lot farther in the Kowalski series than I am. I have #6 checked out now from the library, but haven't gotten to it."I just can't help myself , I have to read them! Even though I don't give them high stars!
Lisa Kay wrote: "Yes, ShoSho, I have to read them, too. I did skip #2, I think, even though I own it."Lol I just read my review of that one ! Made me lol :D
Thank you LK! I was reading Sparknotes on it, which helps too. Some parts are fast paced and easy to read, and then it falls into a lull of a bunch of gibberish that I have to reread a couple of times LOL. BUT this book was written a long long long long time ago..... I've never seen any movies about it either... How shocking right?
It was a serial when it first come out, I believe, Hayley. It has a TON of characters. A cast of thousands.
Oh yeah LK? Hmm. I heard the movie is a great though. I may have to check out "The Witness"... Everyone raves about it, well at least all my friends on here do.. I just looked and everyone rated it 3 or above !
I'm really enjoying it, Hayley. It is better than I thought it would be. While I'm a big J.D. Robb fan, I'm pretty middle-of-the-road on Nora Roberts. But, this one is excellent, so far.

Hayley wrote: "*Hides in Corner*. I know. I live under a rock, right?"YOU HAVE to read
or listen to it ! YOU JUST HAVE TO!
I know, I know! I want to read Naked In Death, BUT it's such a long series, I didn't want to embark on it yet LOL.Maybe I can work in The Search though since it's a stand-alone hehe.
I'm currently reading an ARC of
by Carian Cole. I like it so far, especially the H, but the h is a different story. She can be amusing, but then turn right around and say something so ridiculous I just want to high-five her....in the face....hard
Nicole - I just read a couple of reviews about that book and a lot of them say that the heroine is super annoying lol. Guess you aren't the only one!

Good way to know NR and her writing style!
I finished
,the last hour of it was so intense ! I had to hit pause after a few minutes listening , sit for a little bit and then continue !It was fantastic!
Night Hawk (Online Elf) wrote: "Brave ShoSho.":D I read 4 fluffy happy romance books while I was listening to that !
ShoSho wrote: ":D I read 4 fluffy happy romance books while I was listening to that !"LMBO! That is what I do when I'm reading something like that book. Smart tactic.
Yay ShoSho! So Glad you enjoyed Dark Places. It is definitely "Dark". BUT I thought it was a great story!
Reading
- I've realized what it is about Feehan's writing that bugs me. Too much telling and not enough showing. Nevertheless, its turning into a quick read despite the length. Listening to
- I love Aimée Bruneau's southern accent.
Lauren wrote: "I've realized what it is about Feehan's writing that bugs me. Too much telling and not enough showing."True. She does go on and on.
Lisa Kay wrote: "Hayley wrote: "I just finished
which I absolutely adored."Oh, I've got to get back to that series."
I adore this series. I really really really liked this book!

You will fall in love with Matthew in this book <3

that's a 5-star audio LK!"Yes, it certainly was, Ezi! Loved it. I had to re-listen to parts. LOL!
Just finished listening to
by Nora Roberts. Would've loved giving it a higher rating, unfortunately I think she pedalled back at the end of the book. You can read my review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Elizabeth/Abigail finally found something worth staying put for and someone who could protect her. Being alone, always running and being super vigilant has to be hard.
This was one of NR's better romantic suspense books (in my opinion) and I was surprised because I didn't enjoy Eve or rourke.
Not enjoy Eve or Roarke?? Say it's not so! I loved this book until she started tying up loose ends. It just seemed to pale in comparison to the first parts of the book. I agree it's one of her better ones. I always feel she and J.D. Robb are two different people. Because the In Death books are INCREDIBLE and very addictive. And, I've never felt that way about Nora Roberts's books.
