falconxnet i reread the way of kings for sanderson i loved it a lot but the torment of waiting for the next release and the drawbacks of thinking over & over again about how the story will unfold was unbearable and in my search for some palliatives i stumbled over " the rithmatist " and it was quite the treat but the next release will be in 2015 so the cycle started all over again

guess u got the picture now
is there any suggestions / recommandations with a style that is similar to the rithmatist ??

Have u read his Mistborn series. It was my first book by him with the rithmatist being the second. He is great with his ability to create unique magic systems but i didnt continue mistborn series because his character development for me is poor and i didnt care what happen to the characters. But Mistborn has a great magic system. It is an adult series

falconxnet yeah i read the first book and about 65% of the second than i dropped it .. the development and the simple magic system enthralled me at first but after the death of the instigator of the revolution ( i forgot his name ) everything felt dull and repetetive to me and i didnt like how stupid the prince was ( of course the auther talked about his innocence and virtues yet i didnt like the way things seemed to go so i quitted)

Should have continued its a good read but you need s Sanderson Fix until Reckoner 2 and Stormlight 2 comes out?

Well if you're not underage(lel), Brent Weeks would be a nice substitue(doesn't make drawings come to life though) and maybe some Lev Grossman.

falconxnet txs ^^ hope they ll sustain me until the releases of TWOK & Reckoners

Tom If you want a good fast paced read with some good characters that also contains the magic system from Mistborn try out Alloy of Law. It's a more recent novel and better written set in a industrial version of the Mistborn world. It's not essential to have finished the Trilogy to read it though. There are also plenty of other books by Sanderson worth a look.
