Julie (goodreadscomjulie_shayne) | 2 comments My first book, "The Revolution Question: Feminisms in El Salvador, Chile, and Cuba" (ISBN: 978-0-8135-3484-8) lists me as Julie D. Shayne. My second book, "They Used to Call Us Witches: Chilean Exiles, Culture, and Feminism," (ISBN: 978-0-7391-1850-4 )lists me as Julie Shayne (w/out the D for my middle name.) I would like them combined into my forthcoming profile. (I just applied tonight to be a Goodreads author.)

I also have a forthcoming book that I edited. That one will list me as Julie Shayne (w/out the D) so my preference is that way.

There are two other problems with that listing: The subtitle of the book is listed incorrectly; the whole title, subtitle included is: "Taking Risks: Feminist Activism and Research in the Americas." (ISBN13: 978-1-4384-5245-6). The summary also lists me as a contributor only. I am a contributor but I am also the editor, so I need that updated as well.

Thank you,
Julie

Banjomike | 5166 comments Which profile have you applied for?

With the D

or without

There was a third one but I've combined it. Added covers. Anyway, the books are on the appropriate pages. We just might need to move something after you have claimed one. The two profiles cannot be combined. There will always be two.

Actually, there is no reason not to combine them into the more complete (with the initial) one. Neither has a nickname or name shortening that would make doing so mess up searching; there are no deliberately distinct genres being kept separate; and the longer version entirely contains the shorter one.

All combined here: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Banjomike | 5166 comments Is this a new policy of not matching covers to profiles or a tweak of the old one?

Neither. Many cases do not meet the above -- that is, the two names are not fully included one in the other, or there are different genres deliberately being kept separate.
