HomeInMyShoes There's a candy store here that I think I need to stop at again soon. Curse this thread!

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments My daughter likes Wine Gums...and she like Jammy Dodgers. I can't get with that, they're so dry.

Well, then. Now I don't feel like such an oddball for... appreciating candy.

message 309: by Christa (new)

Christa (christaw) It's an anise liqueur. I think it's gross.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments The thing I cannot drink is JagerMeister.

OMG. I once drank that until I was horribly sick. Plus I despise the taste. Yech! AND the time I got sick off of it I was a very young college student dating a 40 y/o. I was drinking at his house with him and one of his friends and when I woke up they were sleeping together. :-( Well, they were not sleeping.

The only good memory I have attached to JagerMeister is that some dudes at MJ23 drank shots of it in my honor. They couldn't get me to join in but I did enjoy hanging with them. Booooy, those guys could drink!

Yes. It also has other flavorings, and there are different variants of Sambuca but it always starts with anise.

HomeInMyShoes Anise is great for digestion. Probably not in large quantities of Sambuca, but I make a chamomile, anise and peppermint tea that is great.

I know, I'm weird. I'm okay with that. I had a cupcake for breakfast.

I'm pretty sure stuffed animal protection is region based, so I'd think so.

Edit: but you're from Canada, so...

Because Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons is calling him to supper!
