Me too! They used to run every Christmas and Easter here, in the morning, and I remember getting up all excited to watch them! I still have them on DVD somewhere :)

Me, too! But I have them in my book shelves with the series beside it.

I first read that backwards and thought you said you loved the Harry Potter movies more than the books... and I was gonna have to shun you, too. ;)

I never saw the LotR one. Just the Hobbit.

As to the songs, I really liked the Misty Mountain song the dwarves sing in the first movie. Gave me chills when I heard it on the trailer.

I am the same. I loved the LOTR movies, but could not get through Fellowship.

Nyssa | 2023 comments With Potter loved the books and only really loved the first movie. Haven't seen 5, 6, or the 7s.
With LOTR. Loved the books and found the movies to be beautiful!! My plan is to reread the entire series including the Hobbt, and watch all of the movies, after all of the Hobbit films are out.

HomeInMyShoes The most outrageous menswear of fall-winter 2015.

The comments had me laughing. "I did it, I killed Elsa."

Apologies to anyone that likes high fashion, but I am seriously glad my closet choices in the morning have nothing to do with that stuff.

message 1111: by colleen the convivial curmudgeon, Not a book hipster! (new)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments I don't think high fashion is really meant to be worn, is it? Isn't it more like an art for art's sake thing?

If it's not, it should be...

message 1112: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes Probably not, but that was some pretty questionable art. And that's coming from a bit of a painter and photographer, including non-objective and abstract.

message 1116: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

School Suspends Boy For Threatening a Classmate With The One Ring

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Right? Alfie is STOCKY. He's a big cat, and he's dense, and he likes to eat.

message 1127: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes Maple is a big cat, but thankfully not overweight. I have a five-year old for my weight and resistance training.

Who's sneering? I'm celebrating! Even if my heaviest is only 13 lbs. But I have 5 of them and they tend to like to cuddle in 2s and 3s, so it adds up! :)
