I always wondered if he even got a name? She only says Yes it's YOU! Would be weird to keep calling him Beast...

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Isn't it Adam? I think they say it at the beginning when it explains how he was cursed.

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Elise wrote: "Hope they have a good furniture store close by......"

Right? I always wondered that - if their furniture is all staff transmogrified into furniture or accessories or cleaning items, what happened to all of those items that already existed? We're the souls of the people just put into the inanimate objects? If so, where are their lifeless bodies? O_o

message 1022: by Elise (new)

Elise Kleuskens Maybe the Beast ate them?

message 1023: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) But they come back when the curse breaks!

message 1024: by Elise (new)

Elise Kleuskens Yes and the furniture is gone then... Hmm... Perhaps they turned into furniture and they burned the old furniture to keep warm?

message 1025: by colleen the convivial curmudgeon, Not a book hipster! (new)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments I think the ones with faces and stuff were transmogrified people, but the ones that just moved were the furniture... just, um, animated by the spell.

Yeah...

I understand, though. I'm reading this book where people can make origami creatures and animate them, but then they "die" quickly, and it's making me sad...

And I'm like, "it's just animated paper, FFS!"

I still have a mini stuffed pound puppy someone gave me when my little brother was born.

He's now about 27 and has two kids of his own.

Things like 'Toy Story' do NOT help.

message 1036: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes ^Lol. Cars, Planes. Now it's talking cats and worms with Busytown Mysteries. Having a five-year old does not help. I'm on the line, probably past it a lot of the time even without him.

I know the feels! I had a laughing doll I carried everywhere. One day I jumped in a (kiddie) pool with her. She went "hahaha! h..a...h...a h..."

:(

Mom had to remove her voice box and re-stuff her (I wasn't getting rid of her!).

Later mom had to buy and apply a wig cause I managed to comb all her hair out.

She's barely still together but I think my mom has her now.

In the end it was more patches and stitches then the original fabric though, lol

message 1040: by colleen the convivial curmudgeon, Not a book hipster! (new)

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) | 2976 comments I had a pillow like that. It was my nap-time pillow, and I had to have it.

I had blankets, too, but they got lost on a trip to Disney one year when I was a kid. I was pretty distraught.

But the pillow because known as Franken-pillow, and my mom even taught me the basics of how to sew 'cause she got tired of stitching it up.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments My horse was heavy and (it turned out) made of some kind of pressed wood compound. The "neighbor boy" broke it's head off. It couldn't be "fixed".

I'd had that horse since before I could remember...

Fate is cruel.

Hey, fighting is part of growing up, lol.

I was in more than my fair share of fights - and if I had it to do all over again...I'd beat more ass. Less talk, more ass beating! Oh, you wanna pick on me reading?? Well, let me show you what reading taught me!!

Finish him!
