I need to find a fez for me cat. Seriously. Don't worry. He loves hats. No idea why. As long as he doesn't have to walk around in it. Somewhere I have a pic of him in a Hulk hat. I need to find it... It's very cute!

message 530: by HomeInMyShoes (new)

HomeInMyShoes ^Haha. I can picture that, the Fez, not the Hulk hat.

Is it a good idea to invest donuts into a Homer Buddha as soon as possible, or to wait? It looks like a good idea, but would I be better off collecting donuts and buying. I need to know.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments If Americans want to act like idiots at home it's nobody else's business...but when they leave the country they make us all look bad.

It's sort of like when people calling themselves Christian act in an unChristian way. Then people think Christians act "that way".

Sigh, "look and American is stuck in the stone vagina!". "Sigh" is all we can do.

message 539: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Mike (the Paladin) wrote: "If Americans want to act like idiots at home it's nobody else's business...but when they leave the country they make us all look bad."

I disagree. Acting like an idiot anywhere makes us look bad. We dont have to act stupid in someone else's living room for people think we're idiots. The location just adds an insult factor because we're so oblivious to local culture, custom, and common sense.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments No...people at home should be able to let their hair down. Every nationality has those red face moments at home. I mean if someone wants run naked in the woods here it's their business, at the Eiffel Tower it's different (though the French might not find that as silly as what happened above, LOL).

Just my opinion but to me it's like the difference in walking around your house in your underwear and going out for a cup of coffee in your underwear.... :)

message 541: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) At home, meaning where nobody can see you, I agree. Walk around bare-assed all you want. But if you go out in your underwear, whether that's to the corner store OR the Eiffel Tower, then people are free to think you're equally skeevy for it.

It doesn't matter whether it is occurring in the US or abroad... if you're in public acting like a dumbass, then people are going to think you're a dumbass. That's all I'm saying.

message 542: by Beth (new)

Beth (bethandluna) | 108 comments Why would you try to climb into a giant vagina?

As a random side note - it's important to actually make sure people can't see you, because if you walk around naked, even at home, and can be seen from a window, you can still get in trouble. They were talking about it on the radio this morning - extending from something that happened, I think, during the World Cup when a couple was having sex in a hotel which could be seen from the stadium with their windows open...

It's so easy to get caught out these days too because everywhere there are people with cell phone cameras. Do something stupid and it's a guarantee that you will end up on someone's FB, Instagram and/or Twitter page.

We saw an accident during lunch time today and there were like 10 people in a matter of a minute all over the scene with their cell phones.
