Chelsea | 38 comments I LOVED the Outsiders (a classic) and "I Heart You, You Haunt Me" It's one of my all time favorites. It's an easy read, once you start you can't put it down! I read it in a day. And everyone I gave it to LOVED it! It's about a girl who's boyfriend dies from a dare and he comes back in different forms. READ IT

Kat (A Journey In Reading) (ajourneyinreading) Jim, I definitely agree about Long Way Home by Ishamel Beah. It has to be one of the best books that I have read in the past year.

glad you liked it -how'd You like the resolution of shooting/not shooting riddle?

2 other books - PEOPLE OF THE BOOK -by Gearldine Brooks - very powerful fiction but probably more informative and impacting than a non fiction book on same topics

VANISHED SMILE by R. Scotti - interesting book about actual theft of Mona Lisa in 1911

Cassidy Savage (savagegy6) Mr. Darcy, Vampyre by Amanda Grange

I was nervous about this because I haven't read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, wasn't sure if I'd be able to follow. But I loved it and highly recommend it.

I'm currently on her 7th and just out book "An Echo in the Bone". I loved the entire series and book 3, "Voyager" was by far my favorite. You'll enjoy the series as a whole when you're all said and done. Stick with it, it's worth it.

Well I suppose this means I better dust off "A Woman in White" when I'm finished with "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn". I've seriously had AWinW for a couple of years now and I suppose it just wasn't time to read it until now. Thanks! :)

James Metcalf | 2 comments Am currently reading THE GUERNSEY LITERARY AND POTATO PEEL SOCIETY by Mary Ann Shaffer. And with a title like that, it had to be unique. It undoubtably is the most enjoyable book I have read this year. Try it.

Suzanne: I'm a fan of the entire Outlander series. Certainly the first book whets your appetite for more of Jamie & Claire. But no spoilers here. Dragonfly is great. It's mostly backstory of the two of them in France and leading up to Culloden. Then there's Voyager which, mercifully, reunites them. Would love to hear your thoughts as you continue the saga! Enjoy!

fried.rambutans (friedrambutans) | 2 comments THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett - I always wonder how Skeeter would end up in NY, but glad she had the guts to end her relationship w/ that tall boyfriend. I love THE KITE RUNNER too, but THE HELP still no.1 for me this year ;)

Kat (A Journey In Reading) (ajourneyinreading) I finished The Angel's Game last night.
