Just add it in, e.g. edit your original post and add it, and then keep a tally on the total now and then through the year, you might be surprised how easily you get to 24:)

I've just finished Loretta's 3rd book, it was great. I have enjoyed her first two last year. Highly recommend. :)

I think I'd better start on one of my other yearly challenges soon and give this one a rest for a while!

Ah, the best laid plans...! So far, I haven't actually made any substitutions, I've just added in extras while still intending to read my original choices, but I'm not sure whether I'll have enough time in the end to read my original ones...
Anyway, here's another couple of additions for my list - I suggested my library purchase Streets on a Map: Journey Through Changes by our own Dale Harcombe and I received a notification that it is waiting patiently for me at the library! So I will add that as one of my female authors. And I just downloaded Burial Rites by Hannah Kent as an audiobook so will add that as one of my debut novels.
I finished one of my classics this evening, Seven Little Australians by Ethel Turner - 3 stars.

Glad your library got it in for you Kathryn. It is one way each of us can help our Aussie authors. If we can't afford to buy the book we can always ask our library to get it in. I have done that for other Aussie authors in the past.

I actually ordered Streets on a Map: Journey Through Changes at both of my local libraries! I forgot I'd requested it at the one where it has come in when I put in a request at the other one! And I can see the second one (where I've now cancelled my reservation) has ordered 3 copies for 3 of its branches! So I'm getting the word out there (even if partly inadvertently!) :-)

So this is my updated list, since I've added a few extras in since starting this challenge!
Female authors
The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty
Streets on a Map: Journey Through Changes by Dale Harcombe
Male authors
The Street Sweeper by Elliot Perlman
Suspect by Michael Robotham
Debut novel
Far Horizon by Tony Park - this was my original choice, but I've just read:
Burial Rites by Hannah Kent - Just downloaded as an audiobook
New releases
Possibilities:
Losing Kate by Kylie Kaden
Classic
The Women In Black by Madeleine St. John
Fantasy
Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth
Historical fiction
It Takes A Village by Christine Stinson
