Aidan walks to the field with the heavy box and sets it down. He plops down beside it. He grabs a newspaper article crumbling it in his palm and burning it to ash- scattering it. He continues looking at each of the papers before burning them. It was oddly satisfying.

Aidan sifts through the papers burning them individually.
Aidan smiles listening to her sing as he burns the hate articles one by one. He glances over at the picture she's looking at. "Well have to be sure not to get rid of anything like that."
Aidan turns to look at it with a small smile. "She looks really young there- is that Alex?"
Aidan grins,"Yup that's Alex then." he puts the picture in a different stack before going back to the articles.
"I don't know exactly but I wish she didn't." Aidan replies.
Aidan frowns,"I have no idea. They have no idea how damaging the things they say are." he says burning another.
Aidan burns a few more and looks at her,"Something on your mind?"
Aidan smiles. She didn't seem to sing for many people and it made him very happy that she was comfortable singing in front of him especially when he loved hearing her voice. He wonders why it would remind her of her past but doesn't push the issue.
Aidan listens carefully feeling that the words had deep meaning to her and illustrated how her life was. He smiles a little glad for the distraction from he articles and he burns a few more.
Aidan glances up at her,"I like hearing you sing. You have a pretty voice."
Aidan looks at her smiling,"Yeah?" He thought he'd noticed her songs were personal- probably why she didn't like singing in front of most people.
Aidan smiles listening to her sing knowing the words are meant for him. He leans in and kisses her when she finishes.
Aidan smiles at her,"Thank you." That meant a lot especially coming from her.
Aidan hugs her. He finishes up the last of the articles.
Aidan looks it over, "I bet that's Marie, Alex's older sister."
"She did. Not anymore." Aidan says sadly.
Aidan nods, "Yeah. Do you have much family?"
Aidan nods, it seemed that the people here who did have family had issues with their family. "When's the last time you saw them?"
"Yeah? Why's that?" Aidan asks gently and curiously wondering what had happened.
Aidan looks at her, "I don't understand how they could do that." he says honestly, "But I could never do that."
Aidan smiles, "I'm glad." he says, "Ready to head back?"
"Alright." Aidan says hooking his arm in hers as they walk, "Do you think Ruby will be mad that I burned all this?"
"I suppose- I'm not sorry I did though. Let's go put these back. Maybe she'll never catch me." he says with a grin.
Aidan grins, "Then let's go!" he says taking the lead and pulling her now.
Alex wandered around thinking of a way to escape. She had to get home and see her family. She promised. And she never breaks a promise.

Alex walked down to the field with her guitar in hand. She was usually the only one who ever came here. "Time to finish that song."
Alex sat down and drove her fists into the ground. "I hate this place. I hate it and I've been here an hour. And yet. I hate it."
Alex looked up and walked over. "Yo." She said, sitting down. "Name's Alex."
She laughed. "Yo? Who uses that nowadays." Say turned to her. "My name's Alex too. Not the number two. Just also."
"Well I don' use m' accent much. So I say 'yo' t' cover up fer it." Alex said with a shrug. "So 'less ya want me ta swear, yer better off bein happy wit' 'yo'." She explained.
She laughed. "No no. Your accent is fine. Great with the 'yo's'"
"Thought so. Now what's yer real name? Alexandria's mine." Alex said, sitting down.
"Mines Alexandrite. Like the stone. My ring has an alexandrite stone in it" she shows her the ring. "It is the same color as my eyes."
Alex nodded, only half interested. "How long ya been here?" She asked, staring longingly at the water drops on the grass.
"Um. 'Bout an hour or so. Just got here." She said casually. "And I already hate it here."
Alex laughed bitterly. "Makes two of us." She remarked. "But it gets better. The classes suck but the people are cool. Most of 'em anyway." She growled at the thought of that Marshall guy. The guy that hurt V.
"You're really the only person I've met. Well, besides the head mistress and a guy that I got into a fight with. I can't recall his name." She said thinking. "Oh. And two other guys who were having a food fight in the parlor."
"Ah. Well ya missed a lot, thats fer sure. I hate it too, but I ain't got nowhere else t' go." Alex said blankly.
She laughed. "That's one of the reasons I hate it here. My mom died a while ago and my dad got into this huge car crash that pralines him from the back down. I promised him and my brothers I would visit on weekends. But it won't happen until I can find a weakness in the walls or find a car to drive away in."

"Yeah... My family was killed in a mass shooting. So I went to live with my sister. But then a storm hit and she died in a train wreck." Alex said, looking at the ground. "As fer getting out? Impossible. I've been tryin' since I got here. Unless yer kidnapped, there ain't no getting outa this place."
She smiled. "Oh. But you see. I've been in a crazy facility actually multiple because people thought that my powers were some thing that I made them go crazy like a drug. And I escaped them." She paused, sucking I air between her teeth. "All 49 of them. I'm great at escaping."
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Well this place is much worse. The lady here, whatcha call it.... Headmistress? Well shes got this mind manipulation power and it is FREAKY!"
"Yea. I know. All I can do is create illusions and be um. What's the word?" She snapped her fingers. "Manipulated! That's it. I can't be manipulated by illusions."
"I know a guy like that. His name's Jake." Alex said, thinking. "Speaking of which, he came to my work earlier today. Panicked about his girl being taken or somethin."
"Lucky her. She got to get away." She grumbled. "How can I hate this place? I've been here only a couple hours." She sighed. "At least I have friends." The. She pulls out her hamster from her sweaters hurt pocket. "Isn't that right prism?" She said letting her hamster. She looked up at Alex. "I'm weird. In case you haven't noticed."
