2.I think that Winston is a thought criminal because he is called this by a young boy and is shown to be imprisoned.
3. I would say the opposite of a "thought crime" would be thoughts accepted by the government.
4. I am thinking that Winston is a writer since he is seen writing in a book and is getting in trouble for his ideas.
5. I see similarities in how they say that you are always being watched in the world this story presents and the recent government scandal caused when Edward Snowden reveled how the NSA was able to tap into our cell phones.

Thought crime is to think something other than what the government wants you to think. To think anything considered "radical" is to commit a crime.
2. Who might be a "thought criminal" and why do you think this?
The main character most likely is a thought criminal. Comparing this to Fahrenheit 451, Montag is with the other firemen, but a little seed is planted in his mind and he slowly but surely begins to oppose the establishment.
3. What is the opposite, in your own words, of "thought crime"?
The opposite of thought crime is unity and conformism. To think like everyone else.
4. What kind of job does Winston have?
I think Winston works for the government.
5. State one similarity between Winston's world and our own. Explain why you think this aspect of life is similar.
In both Winston's world and our world, there are people facing serious consequences for exposing truth. For example, Bradley Manning who exposed violations of human rights and government corruption. He dared to think differently, to be a whistleblower. And now he faces 35 years in prison.

3) The opposite of a thought crime is someone who always thinks like everyone else.
4) Winston's job is working for the government, but he doesn't want to. He doesn't seem happy.
5) The similarity I see is that Winston has a job he doesn't like, a job that he doesn't agree with, and a lot of people in our world have to work at jobs they don't like and don't agree with to support their families and have a good income.

2)Someone that might be a thought crime is sometimes the main character of the book or in this case movie.
3)The opposite is to not think for yourself to follow others
4)I think Winston works for the government, but it looks like he not happy with his job
5) The similarity between Winston and the world now is that he looks like he starting to think for himself and might make a change and a lot of people in this world find themselves is tough situations and start to make a change and fight and rebel for what they believe in.

2)someone that most likely will be a thought crime is the main character of the movie and book.
3) I think the opposite of a thought crime is being able to think freely.
4) I think Winston job is to work for his government in keeping people from thinking but at some point he will start to think.
5) I do not see any similarity between Winston's world and our own at this time.

2. Someone who could be a thought crime is the main character or a character with great significance.
3.The opposite is when you think about others
4. It seems that Winston works for the government, but is being forced to do so.
5.Winston does not like his job similar to people on our world who have to take on jobs that they might not want to do.
