There had been a town library, like there always is, but she had no idea how or if she could use it, not being a resident. She had it in her head that she would figure it out because she suspected they would have more fiction available there, if the school one was modest it would be filled with school books. But she was wrong it was huge with a full catalog from Autobios to Zoology. What really amazed her was the huge sections dedicated to elements, natural forces, magics, and informational texts on all the things she never imagined existed until she started controlling leaves all those years ago.
The center of the room was filled with tables, chairs, desks, pedestals, podiums, busts of carvings each one a different shape some looked like fire some, like exploding water, each spectacular. Between each column ran rows of books ten or twelve feet high with a second floor just the same. A small window at the end of each row let in a dim light, just enough to see by. It was wonderful. She saw no immediate access to the second floor it must be back behind some book shelves, or at the other end, speaking of which she could barely see it.
She put her small book down, now seems so insignificant, and her pack with all she owned. She really needed to find a dorm room but somehow exploring the town and finding this became higher priorities then knowing where she was sleeping tonight. If it came to it she would sleep here, it was amazing. She walked to the nearest stack and started browsing her belongings forgotten. She was determined to set eyes on every book just to assure herself this was real. It might take a year just to look at them all, let alone open, and read them. Soon the only sound to be heard was the occasional shuffling of her shoes as she moved to the next few stacks.

She pulled the large oak doors open, revealing the colossal library.
Their were rows and rows of books, of possibly any subject you can imagine: dogs, open heart surgery, rocket science, elementals, everything.
She noticed one of the girl's from the café at the other end of the library. She seemingly came through the west door, unlike Savannah, who came from the east.
Instead of getting a book like she'd planned on, she walked down the large library's walkways and approached the girl- Willow? Willa? Savannah couldn't remember her name.

((Wow I am sucking at this today. Sorry. ><))

"Just registered this morning, really. Music, geography, languages, science are some of them. I am very interested in this schools science classes. I loved biology and chemistry in mundane school. Do they run science classes like regular school here or do they talk about powers as well?" Willa was just starting to be absorbed by science at her old school when her life got uprooted and she was sent off to here.
"I am not sure what to expect from history of elementals, power control, or uses of power, but I probably need them. I also took self defense because, well, you never know." She looked off shyly her voice trailing. She was probably ranting again too much.

Savannah listened as she spoke, eventually coming up with a response.
"Well, history of elementals explains how we came to be, and information on the powers. Uses of power, also known as power control, teaches you how to use your ability. And when it comes to science, I love it. They run it normally, but powers sometimes come in handy, if you have myokinesis or something of the matter." She laughed slightly at her own joke.

Savannah seemed to have it all put together and know so much. Willa really admired that, but wasn't sure if she really was interested in Willa or if it was just a test. She seemed like she like things to be in their place, judging by her clothing, jewelry, and makeup, and Willa was always out of place. Even now she plucked a leaf from her hair. How did that get there?

"I was very afraid at first because I had gotten in a lot of trouble recently, family stuff." She remembered the pushing and taunting, followed by a chaos and bandaged cousins covered in cuts. "But it had started to spill over into school, which I really loved, so I feared I was being punished, but my Gramma is not so bad really. I see this will be a good place for me in the end."
Her eyes got a far away look. Seeing down the years to an older more fuller version of herself completely in control, kind and caring like her Gramma and just as hard and sharp. It made her feel old that she dreamed of being so aged.
Coming back to here and now she stood a little straighter getting more comfortable with the conversation as it went. "How long have you been attending the academy?" She asked in a more confident tone.

Savannah nodded at appropriate moments, listening intently. When Willa had finally finished, she responded(wanting to ponder Willa's past), "This is my fourth year at Baldiver. I hope you don't mind that I've been here a lot longer than others; it's not a problem, really."

"Well, did they at least give you your dorm number?" she said, frowning.

"Your dorm is 473. That's near mine, so I'll be glad to escort you," she said, smiling.
(Have you signed up for a dorm?)

((No I will do that))

She too began checking out the books she came for, and leaving.

Alex laughs at her enthusiasm. "Wait up!" she calls and runs after her. "I don't know where I'm going!!" She whines in protest.

"You scurvy li'l dixie, I oughta skin ya!" She laughs and follows up the stairs. "Now where is it?"

Alex's eyes widen. "That is crazy..." She runs to the window and puts her hands against it. "Wow..."

She watches the rain, her eyes wide. She snaps back to. "Do they really have every book?"

Alex laughs. "I'm going to look for a book then. Where's the H section 'round here?" She smiles stupidly.

Alex browses the shelves, looking them up and down. "Aha." She pulls out a book. "Heart of a Gypsy. One of my favorites."

"A young 'un. 'Bout our age. She's a wantin' to leave her li'l family and trav'l th' countryside. She leaves her family and runs away with this good lookin' fella, and they leave the town, livin' the life of a gypsy." Alex rubs the book cover. "Grew up readin' this, I did. Never gets old."

Alex laughs. "Yes'm. Use to dream o' that for years. Ain't ev'r found th' right guy though." She sighs and smiles.

Alex laughs lightly. "With soft brown hair. Oh, and super casual and funny too." She grins.
"Oh yes. We simply can NOT forget about muscular." Alex giggles uncontrollably. "He must love water, and the outdoors too..."
"Oh goodness yes. An animal lover with a soft heart. Music lover too. Strong willed and good with weapons. The list could go on forever!" Alex's giggle turns into a laugh.

Alex nods. She checks out her book, and motions for her to follow. "We shall continue this conversation elsewhere." She smirks. "Whats next on your tour?"
