Arrow: I haven't seen this week's episode yet, but I already saw a trailer for next week's. I have mixed feelings about (view spoiler)[the Lazarus Pit.

I know we're dealing with Ra's and all, and I know the Pit is part of his mythos and it's been mentioned/used already... But I liked that it's sort of been background because I just don't like the inclusion of magical waters in this "gritty, real-life Arrow" thing they're going for.

I know - we already have meta-humans and whatnot.

I know I'm not being rational.

But it bugs me. (hide spoiler)]

Just as I thought a certain someone was unraveling at the seams, he comes out of the dark, into the light.

Plus I wonder if/when we'll see Stick, again.

I haven't seen the crossover ep yet (too busy binging on Daredevil), but I can see how (view spoiler)[Ray would fit more in Flash world.

I agree that Arrow is best on the street level, and I do feel like the whole Ra's plot is a bit of a misstep.

That said, I have heard that they're gonna get Cisco to work on a (view spoiler)[Canary Cry (hide spoiler)] thing, and I'm curious to see how that turns out.

(view spoiler)[You knew they were gonna bring the lazarus pits into use. I'm surprised they waited this long, honestly. I'm ok with it. But agree the whole Ra's storyline doesn't fit. But if you're gonna do it, might as well go all the way.

Also agree that Ray works so much better on Flash.

As to the meta showing up on Arrow, I'm cool with that too. Especially since they added on the part about dude Not being in Central City at the time of the explosion. It opens up the whole world for metas. Hopefully this can lead to a Static Shock cameo or solo show. (hide spoiler)]

I've been watching Rob Thomas's iZombie! It's kind of Veronica Mars but she's a Zombie MD who is working in a morgue (for a source of human brains to eat) who helps a police detective solve murders!



Rob Thomas is the creator/writer/producer of both shows and his lead actresses show a remarkable physical similarity to each other. I've always avoided Zombie movies/TV shows/books but this one is a definite winner in my opinion.

Penny Dreadful is about gothic horror and has many recognizable characters from that genre.

...And Orphan Black:



This one is about clones and stars Tatiana Maslany, a Canadian actress who is pretty much unknown in the US but I believe that will change. She plays all the clones who are all quite different individuals!

I think Hotch has smiled more often in the first 14 episodes of Season 7, than he had in the entirety of the first 6 seasons of Criminal Minds total. Its very bittersweet considering what his character went through two seasons before.

I thought the Shield finale was fine. Not quite as epic as last years, but it tied up some story lines well, and left plenty open to continue with next season. I agree about (view spoiler)[the latch, though. Seriously, guys, wtf?" (hide spoiler)]

Arrow finale was pretty good, too. Amell said at the Q&A panel at the Con, though, that a) it felt almost more like a series finale but also b) that season three was less satisfying, for him, because, like season one, it's almost more a set-up for the next season. I agree with both of these assessments.

Haven't seen Flash, yet, but I heard it's pretty awesome.

Arrow finale was ok

Flash finale was awesome and damned emotional. Stupid feelings. From that slower opening speech to the cliffhanger ending, it capped off a pretty great first season and set up what could be an even better season 2.

Spoilery remarks: (view spoiler)[Eddie annoyed me, mostly, but damned if he didn't go full Tommy at the end there.

Tom Cavanagh killed it as Wells. So glad he'll be back next season, though I wonder how they'll play it.

I read that Amell might not have signed on for Legends yet. There are some theories that he might be being replaced somehow. Dunno.

I'm not sure they can use (view spoiler)[ Deadshot. I know Arrow won't be focusing on Suicide Squad because of the upcoming movie. I think using Deadshot might be included in that.

I'm pretty much a Superhero fan whether it be DC or Marvel but if it's truly Batman vs Superman,I'm going to have to side with Batman.

The preview (saw it at the Avenger's movie) looks like Super Man is being accused of abusing his power and Batman is shown challenging him. My guess would be that in the end it will turn out they were both being manipulated and will end up together after some heavy special effects laden fights.

Just a guess, but that was usually how the hero vs,hero comics usually went.

Couldn't tell much more than that.

Watched Flash last night. It was feely - but I didn't actually cry or anything. Closest I came was tearing up at (view spoiler)[Barry and his mom.

As for Eddie - I was always annoyed by him, too, and was like part "oh, that's sad" and part "at least he's gone now" and part "wait - doesn't that create a huge paradox?" followed by "Great job, Eddie, you just broke the fucking world."

And then - cliffhanger. Goddamnit!

I'm uselessly on the fence.

I'm not a huge fan of Superman in general, though I did think Cavanaugh's was at least better than the boring-ass one that proceeded it.

I'm not sold on Batfleck, but I'm not entirely against it, either. I'm one of the few people that didn't think Daredevil sucked - or, at least, I didn't think he sucked as Daredevil, though the movie itself was camp as hell.

I don't really like his electro-voice in the preview - but since that's all we see, I can't judge too much, either.

I'm semi-intrigued by "not-Michael-Cera" (i.e. Jesse Eisenberg) as Lex Luthor. When I first heard the casting I was totally against it, but then I saw him in "Now You See Me" and was actually pretty impressed/surprised and realized he can pull off an actual character and not just be a Cera-clone like I felt he was in Zombieland.


I'll probably see it either way - but whether or not I see it in theaters will depend on the buzz.

I just found out that the guy who plays Daredevil in the Netflix series, Charlie Cox, is the guy who played Tristan in Stardust.

I would've never put that together. I'm in a state of shock.

So I watched the "leaked" pilot for Supergirl. It was ok. Just a bit too... bright? Happy? Not sure, but it's definitely starting from the opposite side of the spectrum from where Arrow started. With Flash being about middle of the road.

I'll still give it a go when it starts this fall. I mean, it is Supergirl after all. So being bright/happy is expected. You can't really go all Dark Knight or Daredevil with that source material.

Meanwhile, I decided I wanted to try 'Newsroom' the other week after seeing a clip of the opening scene... and now we're on the second to last episode of season 2. (Granted, they are short seasons.)

I also sort of started re-watching 'Lie to Me'.
