What are you watching on TV?

Keep hoping I guess.

SO, I had to return my birthday gift( The Mentalist) as 4 out of the 5 disc for season 4 were damaged, and the seller wanted the entire boxed set back, not just season 4. Its things like this that make people take to the high seas!!
The twins and I have been watching Bones together. Not always the most kid friendly show, but they're preteens now (dear Lord I'm getting old!) and they know when something might be too much for them, so they'll walk away.
I'm, also watching Criminal Minds - sans kids (man that show is intense! Sometimes I have to walk away.)
Plus, I just started watching Numb3rs. I've watched the first season before, with my husband, but we drifted away from it, so I want to give it another go.

The only problem is that it's a CW show, so there's all this relationship angst/drama that I'm like, "Can we just go back to the blowing shit up parts?"

The only problem is that it's a C..."
Thats always the problem with CW shows! LOL

Yeah, that's why I tend to avoid them. But I ended up actually really liking Supernatural, and I'd heard really good things about Arrow... so here I am.

I may get back to it eventually.
I've only seen a handful of episodes of Supernatural.

Agreed

Also, I loved Numb3rs. I miss that show.

I hope the positive reviews from critics aren't just a collective wish that it's good, I WANT it to live up to the hype...

I'm not particularly excited myself, but I'm going to give it a shot. If I don't like it, it'll just be another show that I read a book during while he watches. Can't hate on extra reading time!

I read for most of my boyfriend's TV shows. Great minds think alike!
@ Colleen,
I don't know if this will help, but I saw an interview with Donal Logue addressing people's concern that Batman wouldn't be in the show. He said we have Batman, he's a kid standing in the rain down some back alley, grieving for the loss of his parents. He went on to argue that the reason people should give the show a try is that it's about the slow burn, the build for each of these characters, including Alfred and Batman. I love character driven stories, so I must say, I'm intruiged!
Anyway, I hope you end up liking it. I want quality genre movies and television to have continued success. More good stuff for us!

^this

When I first saw the trailer I thought it was a full season and was like, "No way will that work", but then I found out it's a limited run thing and gave it a chance.
I've been enjoying it. It's funny and cheesy and doesn't outstay its welcome with 20 minute episodes.

Grimm is back tonight, they left us with like 3 cliffhangers. They love cliffhangers...I hate cliffhangers.

Rant over :)
On the other hand, Agent Carter is phenomenal!
(oh, and ditto on cliffhangers. Walking Dead is terrible for them!)

I love the show, my favorite that's on now. I'd suggest you give it another shot if you want.

I heard that if you watch it on OnDemand it includes musical commercials? I've started streaming most shows I miss thru various websites...

Grimm has gotten better since (view spoiler)

It made me think of you all. Anyone interested in sharing?
Mine would be Sherlock, Gotham, Orphan Black, Walking Dead, and even though it's new, I think Agent Carter. I'm in love!
What are yours?

The Walking Dead
True Detective
Fargo
Longmire
Yes, I included Longmire because I read that Netflix is picking it up and will air Season 4 this summer. Means I have to get Netflix.
And yes, I have to give an honorable mention to my favorite reality show: Survivor.

My fave reality show is Face Off!

New Girl
Marry Me
Parks and Recreation
Blackish
Parenthood (only 2 episodes left to watch though, boo!)

They've been promoting The Americans quite a bit lately - is it coming back after a hiatus?

Supernatural
Arrow
Flash
Elementary
I can't decide on a 5th. Maybe Agent Carter or Justified.

May I ask, is this the final season for Justified? I've been told it's amazing.

We actually sort of started watching it just 'cause it was set in Kentucky, which is were hubby is from. He finds it surreal to watch places that are supposed to be in Kentucky, and point out which ones really are and which ones are all wrong.

Like Lexington."
Apparently none of it is actually filmed in Kentucky, though, with a lot of the outside sets shot in Pennsylvania. But there's a reason they call the areas outside of the cities 'Pennsyltucky'.
