Does Anyone Feel the Need to Remember EVERY Word in a Book ?

I know this sounds weird, but I feel the need to remember every quote and word. Anyone else feel this way?

No. I read at least 30 books a month, so remember every quote would drive me crazy.
No. I don't feel this way. Even with only reading about 7-8 books a month this would drive me crazy! LOL.
Well, yeah, I guess I just don't see why we need to remember every single quote. I do remember some from the books that I truly love. But the more books you read, things start to get jumbled up.
Yeah, if I really enjoy a quote I like it here on Goodreads. But if I saved all the quotes of a book in my head I would begin to get things really confused and wow.. it would be tough!
Smart :) I have a note saved on my iPad to keep quotes I love, so far I have 4 quotes from 2 different books :) Sometimes it's hard to put the book down to write down the quote when the story is getting good.
That is cool! And yes, sometimes I write down the quotes too if I am really into the story!
When I type in book title it takes me to book description and I just want quotes :)
I've never searched for quotes, so you may try it yourself. I guess titles, author names... would bring the quotes from the books.
If I really love a line, I will add a status update here on goodreads and/or add it to my review (if it really strikes me)I love quotes, but I read too much to try to remember every line. If I find I love the writing in a book, I make sure to buy the book so I can have a copy around to re-read on occasion :)
Kudos to you, Whitney, if you can remember a lot of quotes and passages from books. My memory just isn't that good lol
Not really but I feel the need to READ every single word. No skimming for me
