me too, although last time I picked the book up, I struggled to read it
so hopefully with a buddy will help!

so, I'm already 100 pages in (where I stopped last time) I've re-reviewed it so I'll wait to see what you think so far before I keep going :) it's GOOD so far tho!

I read book 1 around the month september but then i couldn't find book 2. When you started this thread you actually reminded me that i needed to find Once We Were. I finally found and downloaded an ePub file and started reading it a few hours ago. So far its really interesting

It's been a long while since I've read book 1 (a year, I believe) so I struggled at first to remember the storyline

and to remember where we'd left off.
but I think I'm catching back up

I read What's Left of Me in June this year. I've forgotten a lot of the details of how the book ended since then, but it's coming back to me as I start this book. I'm 30 pages in right now.

okay, I'm 16 chapters in, 42%

it's going good. I'm enjoying it
there's a lot of action and tension right now.
it's hitting a very good part!

I'm on chapter 8 of this now, and it is interesting. (view spoiler)[I am wondering what the hybrids will be doing about the institutions. The whole thing with Eva and Ryan is a problem because of Addie and Devon. It will be interesting to see how that can work out. (hide spoiler)]

I've finished chapter 10. (view spoiler)[I hope the plan that the hybrids are forming doesn't get them caught. It seems like quite a risky move to interrupt a government speech with flyers and fireworks, but something like that is probably necessary if they want anything to change. Hopefully they are able to stop the government from creating Powatt. (hide spoiler)]

I have read through chapter 20, and I am enjoying this book. (view spoiler)[Some of the hybrid stuff is confusing because it is hard to keep track of which two names go together. Often, I can't tell the difference between the character with one name and the character with another name. I had thought the first plan was risky, but it doesn't seem like it is going to get them caught. But the new plan sounds really risky. I'm sure the hybrid institutions are awful places, but blowing one up seems so drastic. (hide spoiler)]

I was struggling to read this and I couldn't quite put my finger on why...and that's exactly it (view spoiler)[ I keep forgetting which 2 personalities are together and....who doesn't seem to have one. and most of them seem the same that I'm not really getting attached to everyone

wow, I feel so bad (view spoiler)[ that they Addie and Eva are fighting like this. I can't imagine waking up and being in the middle of kissing someone else. UGH!!! AWFUL! (hide spoiler)]

She definitely should have told Eva, since Addie knows about Ryan. It makes sense that they should know if the other is in a relationship. (hide spoiler)]

I just finished this book, and I really liked it. (view spoiler)[I am glad that Eva and Addie were able to stop the bomb from going off. It's like the saying "Two wrongs don't make a right." The people in the building had done some awful things, but killing them would just make the hybrids murderers too. I wonder what the hybrids are going to try to do in the 3rd book. (hide spoiler)]

and don't you think that would make the Hybrids look even worse? to start bombing stuff? I mean, what a way to confirm they really are dangerous :(

Yeah, I agree that it would definitely make them look worse. The government already thinks they are bad when they aren't even doing anything wrong.
