I do not believe that Part Time Indian should be banned from schools and communities. Although some of the book is inappropriate, there is no reason to keep students from things that happen daily. All of the problems mentioned in the book, like bullying, alcoholism, and racism, are things that occur everywhere. If kids are hidden from these topics they could come out of childhood being not knowing about what is happening outside their daily lives. Parents don’t realize what their children say or do when not with them. A lot of kids already do some of this or need to know it.
