Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I am currently reading The Screwtape Letters and Walk Two Moons, both of which are very interesting in their own way. This is especially true for The Screwtape Letters.

I started "The Screwtape Letters" but sadly never finished it - but the bit I read was BRILLiant!!!!

And I'm pretty sure that a loooooong time I read "Walk Two Moons" - it's a kinda weird/eery book, right? Or am I thinking of something else . . .

message 61: by Richard (new)

Richard (richardpendon) | 3 comments I'm reading Xenocide from the Ender's Saga. In between, I'll read volume one of Sherlock Holmes paperback edition. Thanks to my fiance, she gave the book to me. After Doyle, I guess I'll decide between continuing Niven's Ringworld or Simmons' Hyperion sequels.

wow i've never actually read any of those books before..

message 63: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I love the Screwtape Letters. It gives a great showing of how Satan thinks, so you can watch for that in your behavior.

message 64: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) The only series I have ever read, to my knowledge anyway, are the Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends. I enjoyed both of those tremendously. I don't know why I haven't read many series, because I know they can be fun. I shall have to remedy that situation.

When you say Screwtape letters is there a chance you mean the Victorian drama called the Turn of the Screw? That has been filmed three times , I think so far.

message 66: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) @Cleveland, The Screwtape Letters is written by C.S. Lewis and is about how Satan thinks about people's behaviors he could use to his advantage. It is a group of letters written by Screwtape (one of Satan's main guys, as far as I can tell) to his nephew Wormwood (a fledgling minion that Screwtape is trying to teach the ways of the "Father Below").

message 67: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I am now reading Not for Packrats Only by Don Aslett, because I am moving and want to get rid of as much clutter as I can. I will read Andrea Carter and the Trouble with Treasure right after that.

message 69: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) I got Andrea Carter and the Trouble with Treasure as a first reads book here at GR. I really wouldn't expect you to know Not for Packrats Only unless you are moving.

fallen is a love story about angels and mortals..where the girl and a fallen angel (his name is Daniel) meets every 17 years and the girl dies every time they kiss (something like that)...but on this cycle the girl did not die, and the guy is doing his best to keep her alive since if she dies in this cycle there is a distinct possibility that she won't be reincarnated for the next..it's a nice story actually and i'm waiting for the third book..
