OMG, it's the funniest story! Mr. Thornton was whitewashing a fence, see, and he didn't want to, so he pretended it was wickedly fun and tricked Margaret into whitewashing and she couldn't forgive him for the longest time! If Margaret were in a book group with Fanny and Edith, what would they read?
