Okay, final thoughts, as promised.
(view spoiler)[ Sadie's mom warned about other gods beside the Egyptians! That was totally foreshadowing of that crossover series between the Kanes and Percy Jackson.
So Sadie is now dating both Walt and Anubis? Does that count as polyandry? In any case I'm hella jealous.
What I don't understand is why Carter and Sadie didn't burn up casting the shadow execration on Apophis, like everyone predicted. Did the author ever give a reason for that, or was it just a case of main-characters-can't-die?

Finished :D I gave it 5 stars!

Review: I actually really liked this book! Ended nicely, without (view spoiler)[the death of Walt! :D I loved the way that Walt and Anubis joined together and now Walt's learning the path of Anubis. And that he and Sadie are together :) (hide spoiler)] Just something I never saw, the whole Walt/Anubis thing, at the start of the second book. I still think this is a less mature book, but I'm glad I finally got around to reading the series as they've been sitting on my bookshelf for a long while :) I liked the multiple POVs as well, always more interesting. And a few nice surprises in this book too, with Setne. One thing I didn't like was the fact that (view spoiler)[Apophis was supposedly stronger than Set, yet Apophis was really easy to defeat?? (hide spoiler)] And also annoying how (view spoiler)[Carter seems to think that Zia is so much more important than the whole freaking world! (hide spoiler)] Eh anyway, good book :p
