I'm finished too :) Here's my review: Glad I've finally gotten around to reading this book :D I really liked it, equal to the first one :) It's been sitting on my shelf for ages, so I'm happy that I've read it. Can't wait to read the third one in a few days' time. One thing I didn't like in this book was (view spoiler)[Carter's obsession with Zia when she turned out to not even like him. I mean, he finds out the world's ending and it's been his goal to stop it, but then he goes off to find Zia as soon as he knows where she is even though he's got like 2 days to save the world.... And he doesn't even have the nerve to call her his girlfriend. (hide spoiler)] Ugh, annoys me! One thing I did like though was Walt and the other initiates. It's such an awesome new thing, to include (view spoiler)[their trainees and battles including them. I also liked how Amos because Chief Lector, and how they went through the different sections of the Duat to free Ra. (hide spoiler)] Quite a good book :)

I'll be starting Serpent's Shadow tomorrow. I'll have quite a bit of time just sitting round at my boyfriend's doing nothing while he's at work for 6 hours so I'll be able to read my next book and then get onto this one. Managed to buy it today so I'm happy about that :D And it was little format too, not large one, so it only cost me $21.

Through Chapter 3. (view spoiler)[ I agree with you guys, this book is more intense than the last two already. You can tell this is a kid's book because Rick Riordan described all the damage outside the museum except for the dead bodies, which I know must have been there.
Um why are Sadie and Kane training toddlers now? Are they really gonna go to battle with "ankle-biters"? And again I have to wonder what compelled the parents to give up their toddler age children to strangers *sigh* (hide spoiler)]

About Walt vs. Anubis (view spoiler)[ Still torn. I ended the last book on Team Anubis however I'm now leaning towards Walt because of the way Sadie described him early on. Skin the color of hot cocoa? Mmmmmmm. Well, there's also the fact that he's a gentleman. He's not starting a serious relationship with Sadie because he wants to save her from more hurt when he dies. About Sadie (view spoiler)[I don't think Rick Riordan is very good at writing from the point of view of a teen girl. The way her mind works doesn't seem realistic to me, given that I have experience being in the mind of a teen girl. (hide spoiler)]

Really enjoying it so far! I actually want to keep reading, which hasn't happened with his other books. At the part where (view spoiler)[Anubis turned up at Sadie's dance (naaawwwwwww) and she's showing up the Plastic Bags (:p love that!) The chapter titles generally say what happens in the chapter so you'll know whether you've read that part or not. For example "I Have a Word with Chaos"
