17/80 countries. Don't think I'll manage to get 80 this year. But at least I have expanded my reading this way.

Melanti | 1894 comments Hm. 20 countries so far, but none of those countries were in South America and only one country in Africa - and that was just a technicality!

That's pretty sad...

You two are doing great. Probably one of the higher totals so far!

I'm thinking though this is really about a 80 countries in several years. I guess one could do it with a plan up front.

I agree! Tytti's neverending challenge is a good place for tracking past multi-years. It's neat to see how many in an individual year, too.

But yea, for me, 80 countries would have to be a multi-year challenge.

20 -- not close to 80, but 25%.

Kat Gale (superkatness) | 118 comments I finished the year with 33/80. Hopefully I'll do better this year.

message 63: by Melanti (new)

Melanti | 1894 comments I ended with a pretty poor 23, with only one country in South America and none in Africa... And considering the entire reason I signed up was to encourage myself to read more from those two continents, that's kind of sad. I kept reading books from/set in the same European countries over and over.

Are we doing a new thread for this year?

I put mine up here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... to continue to add to it for 2015.
