Hardbacks with the same ISBN as Softbacks

Hi

I am a newbie Librarian, and have mainly been working on my own personal collection.

Whilst working on the above book I have been trying to add a Hard Cover version of this book. However,the ISBN already exists for this book, as a paper back. (the publishing dates are also different)

So how do I add a hardback version of the same book - just leave out the ISBN?

Treat it as you would any "normal" alternate cover situation. First one keeps the ISBNs, second one looses...

"add a note stating the issue with the ISBN and listing the actual ISBN. You can also use the Librarian Note feature found near the top of the book edit page to attach a note to the book (this helps prevent the book from accidentally being deleted by a librarian who thinks it is an invalid entry)."

Thanks I saw that but read it as being different cover as in different picture, but I suppose i should have thought about it being a different type as well.
